Let’s stick around Australia for a moment and jam out to the music video Holy Holy dropped for their new single True Lovers. The band are in the midst of a tour, having just finished playing sold out shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Thirroul, and Newcastle. True Lovers is the latest single from their acclaimed album PAINT from earlier this year, and it’s a ravishing soft rock and electro pop hybrid with torrid simmering guitars and a plucky groove. Its video, directed by Erin Van Occi, is a collage of over 600 photographs, over which footage of the band rocking out to True Lovers is overlaid. Holy Holy’s Paint album is available, here.

It’s been over a year since the release of Australian band Holy Holy’s debut album When The Storms Would Come, and now five piece are fast at it again as they build towards the impending release of a sophomore album. That Message is the third single lifted from PAINT, and it even features a fascinating video titled “Painting To Paint”, which you can view below. Plucky simmering art rock and synth dynamic rock similar to a fusion of dance ready Foals with punchy Two Door Cinema Club effuse out of That Message. Holy Holy’s new album PAINT will be released soon on February 24th. Pre-order, here.

On October 30th, Australian duo Holy Holy will unleash their debut album When The Storms Would Come in the UK following on last month’s Australian release. As fans wait for that seemingly far away date, they can enjoy latest single History via this video the duo just recently unleashed for the tune. The clip was shot over a sleepless 48 hour period in Brisbane, fittingly distorting perception of time and space throughout the video. It’s a cool accompaniment for a spectacular tune, one with melodically transfixing guitars as well as plenty of meditative psychedelic rock.

I can certainly relate to being sentimental on a Monday. I’m sure many of you can, too. Two musicians from Australia, one from Brisbane, and one from Melbourne, unite to release a moving song named Sentimental And Monday as Holy Holy. The moody, pastoral hued song is tender and sentimental, permeated with layered, building guitars that remind of The National but paired with vocals that are soft and gentle, like those of Bear’s Den or Boy and Bear. The powerful song is from Holy Holy’s album, When The Storms Would Come, out soon on July 24th.

OFFICIAL VID: Wye Oak – Holy Holy

Here’s Wye Oak’s Holy Holy. The official video came out just a few days ago. Song sounds pretty awesome, like it a lot. I wanted to catch their set at Outside Lands but there were major conflicts with other sets, didn’t end up stopping by.

I’ll add on the Civilian video which first caught my attention about half a year ago… beautiful setting, beautiful song.
