We’ve been fans of Future Classic-signed Australian singer songwriter and producer Hayden James for a very, very long time. In fact, our love for his debut single Permission to Love has never faltered or faded, and it’s still one of our favorites today. So when a new Hayden James song crops up, we prepare ourselves for some true music magic, which is exactly what we get on Just Friends, which features creamy crooner Boy Matthews on guest vocals. Just Friends straddles the line between vivacious dance music and Years & Years like upbeat R&B pop with its pumping bass and incendiary disco beats. Download/stream this glorious Hayden James return, here. Then dance the night away to the friend-zone anthem.

If you’ve yet to encounter Pluko and have no idea how adept this rising producer is, I can assure you, you’re going to start seeing the name a whole lot more as the year continues to progress. The 17 year old Pittsburgh producer (what’s with the burgeoning Pittsburgh electronic scene?), will convince you of his talent in one remix. Get ready for dark swiveling synths and gorgeously rendered instrumentals on Pluko’s remix of Hayden James’ lush and sensual, limber and supple beauty, NUMB, featuring GRAACE. It’ll probably remind you of Flume and What So Not’s hit singles with the likes of Kai and George Maple, tracks that happen to be some of my favorite electronic tracks of this decade. But let’s not stop there, continue your electronic escapade by dissolving into the ambient beauty of Pluko’s original, her. If Explosions In The Sky ever went the future bass route, it might sound something like this immensely moving, breathtakingly profound piece.

UPDATE: In a sheepish moment of realization, I now know that Pluko is Pluto, who had to change his name for legal reasons. So yes, of course Pluko is talented, we love Pluto!

Lush sensual strings and GRAACE’s flawless voice greets our ears as we wade into Hayden James’ phenomenal new single, NUMB. We’re anything but numb as we melt into the Australian producer’s supple and limber new aria, which starts like a Rhye and J.Views composition before a soft beat kicks in and takes us on a slow burn trip to sonic Eden. Wave upon wave of luscious synths wash over us on the chill electronic opus, which showcases a whole new level of Hayden James’ production dexterity. NUMB is pure elegance, and total celestial bliss. The single is out now on Future Classic. Download and stream, here.

I’ve had Empire Of The Sun’s new album Two Vines on rotation since it’s release, and I can’t foresee retiring it anytime soon. That’s right, I’ve fallen hard for Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore’s latest project, one that contains so many endearing tunes. While it’s near impossible for me to pick a favorite track from the record, High and Low is easily up there as one of the champions, and I can’t help but gravitate towards the buoyant charming house remix offered up by Australia’s Hayden James. Quite honestly, all there is to be found here are highs, no lows. Hayden James’ edit skips exuberantly and smoothly. Its rosy glow and atmospheric builds seep into my own heart, imbuing it with weightless mirth.

I’ve already begun to rack up tickets for shows in 2017 despite it only being October. The furthest out event that I’ve purchased them for so far is PETIT BISCUIT’s San Francisco debut at Popscene on April 14th,

because I’m truly that excited. The French producer is without a doubt one of the most respected talents in the scene right now, and it’s obvious why once you dive into his new remix, a spectacular re-imagining of Australian artist Hayden James’ melting single, Just A Lover. PETIT BISCUIT’s remix is a lover indeed, a gently twinkling, grand atmospheric melodic bass suitor whose every slice and oscillation enfolds our hearts in bliss. The melancholy in Hayden’s voice is drawn out in this edit, resulting in a most heartrending, dewy rousing experience. The stunning makeover is a free download on PETIT BISCUIT’s website, where you can also find out more about his impending North American tour.

Hayden James’ Just A Lover is deep bouncing, smooth sensual deep house jam, a racy and seductive late night dance floor anthem. It’s that sexy jam that Canadian producer POMO takes on for his latest remix. POMO gives Just A Lover into an eargasmic steely future house and funky garage makeover. The shifty dynamism and tactile ebullience of the track are mesmeric. The glassy sleek remix is divinely intoxicating.

I still remember first encountering Hayden James. It was over three years ago, and the Aussie artist sauntered onto the scene with a magnificent tune named Permission To Love, still my absolute favorite from the producer signed to Future Classic. Well, Permission To Love might just have to make way for Just A Lover, Hayden James long awaited new single. Just A Lover woos me with its deep bouncing bass, seductive cooing, and rich sensual synths. Hayden James brilliantly melds soulful pop with luscious deep house, giving us one of the best dusky libidinous dance tracks of the year. This isn’t “just a lover”, this is a sweet paramour and steamy smooth Romeo for the ages. Just A Lover is out now on Future Classic. Purchase from various outlets, here.

This epic Australian affair will leave you in a sea of ecstasy. The ridiculously amazing remix, an edit of SAFIA’s Embracing Me by Future Classic’s Hayden James. The original and SAFIA’s signature mellifluous crooning are already such a rousing combination of soulful pop and future bass. Hayden James gives the song additional weightless lilt and gentle bounce. I’m swallowed up by its warm aura and tender beats, lost in its soft underbelly of Gryffin like (but more subdued) summery joy. You can purchase the original from iTunes.
