To be honest, I noticed that this track was floating around over the weekend while I was running around 10 plus hours a day tiring myself out at Outside Lands Music Festival, and it was the song I was most greatly looking forward to checking out once I found a moment to treat my ears to the tune. Worlds collide as CHVRCHES’ Bury It, featuring Paramore’s Haley Williams, gets the Keys N Krates treatment on a magnificent remix. The Toronto trap and electronic outfit turns the Scottish electropop band’s single into a grandly atmospheric electronic opus. Gone are the filthy drops and whomping bass we’re usually accustomed to from one of my favorite trap projects. Keys N Krates gives us a wide expanse of surprisingly slick and cinematic trap, and it’s a transcendental experience.

Paramore covered Alt-J live!

April 12, 2013

As I’m sure you all have gathered, I’m a huge Alt-J fan, so it’s pretty cool to come upon this recent footage of Paramore doing an acoustic cover of Alt-J song Mathilda. Haley Williams does a pretty good job, but NOTHING compares to the original. I just saw Alt-J for the second time in my life a couple nights ago and they blew me away again. I’m pretty sure now that Alt-J’s debut album An Awesome Wave is my top album of 2012. I just love it too much.
