Rock and roll lives on in Nashville’s GYASI, a peacock loving musician from Nashville with a flair for bellowing vocals and vehement riffs. He’s fully captured our ears and inspired us to bust out our best air guitar moves with new single Sugar Mama, a wild, untamed, and glamorous spectacular that channels Bowie, T Rex, Rolling Stones, and all the best dusty brawling classic rock of prior decades. GYASI was reportedly brought up in a unique environment, laced with roaming peacocks, a family of Russian intellectual revolutionaries, and two parents dedicated to living off the land. This isolated upbringing felt more like the 60s or 90s. GYASI was exposed to a lot of blues, Velvet Underground, and T. Rex records. It’s no wonder his new single is this glorious. You can stream Sugar Mama via Spotify, here.
