Those of you who’ve experienced Cinema live know the sheer power of the song. The moment when it plays is a moment no one forgets…  Everyone singing “you are, my cinema, I could watch you forever” as one likely brings countless people to tears. You could say Cinema is an electronic classic of the 2000s, a timeless number forged by an epic partnership between Benny Benassi and Skrillex also featuring Gary Go. It’s that spectacular tune that Luca Lush has chosen to remix, a daring endeavor with a huge payoff. The producer’s flip stays true to the original’s rousing emotion and varying landscape, but it gets a bold, stabbing douse of trap energy that comes with the occasional wall of dark blaring synths and plenty of shaking, rumbling bass. Luca Lush’s remix is a saga that ventures through various stages and phases, ending in steely waters with currents that crackle with electricity. This “cinema” is grand and theatrical, with varying highs and lows. Luca Lush’s tour de force is a free download, here.
