A new video has been released for Tel Aviv electronic trio Garden City Movement’s breezy weightless, cool gliding She’s So Untouchable, giving us the addition of some rich visuals to go along with this dreamy electronic song. Garden City Movement smoothly permeates their electronica with funky interludes and the sweet murmurs of velveteen R&B, making She’s So Untouchable infinitely soothing and luxuriant. She’s So Untouchable is the latest single from GCM’s forthcoming 12″ release that will be available digitally and on vinyl come November 4th via BLDG5 Records.

It’s absolutely incredible how versatile Garden City Movement is when it comes to the electronic universe they have proven themselves so commanding in. While earlier songs like Move On were ambient, hushed tunes, later tracks like Bengali Cinema were dreamily uptempo jams. Now, the Israeli trio has revealed a new one carrying another twist in direction for them, the dark and haunting Recollections. Its murky, abrasive style and frenetic vibe, paired with thick, cutting falsettos, remind me of Until The Ribbon Breaks’ edgy music, with hints of SBTRKT’s minimalist drum work and FKA Twigs’ mystique. Recollections is quite the artsy, cerebral, and electrifying song. Garden City Movement will be releasing a new EP, Modern West, on April 6th via The Vinyl Factory. I’m much curious to see what other journeys the EP will take me on.

Israeli electronic trio Garden City Movement premiered a new single today via FACT. My Only Love is the first single from their newly announced five song EP, Modern West, out April 6th digitally and on vinyl via The Vinyl Factory. I was thrilled when I saw the announcement. From early downtempo, ambient beauties to their later uptempo, dance ready tunes, Garden City Movement has delighted me with every one of their releases. My Only Love falls into the latter category with a thoroughly slinky, sultry atmosphere and a disco flavored dance beat. It’s a tingling thriller and a killer addition to their growing list of intoxicating songs.

I’ve been incredibly excited to share this one with you since I first heard it yesterday. I’ve also been a devoted fan of Israeli electronic trio Garden City Movement for some time now, ever since they, uh, moved me, with ambient song Move On earlier this year. On new track Pont des Arts, they take a very shadowy and textured approach. Soulful vocals and spacious atmosphere ooze out of the song, with a James Blake meets SBTRKT like soundscape. A dash of 90’s house and plenty of futuristic vibes dress the intoxicating song. The song’s title is a reference to the bridge in Paris where people attach love locks to the railing. There was some trouble with the weight of all the locks recently. I guess love is heavy, just like this tune… so heavy with the feels. Garden City Movement plans on touring the States for the first time next March and will also perform at SXSW. Celebrate!

It’s been a mere four days since Israeli electronic trio Garden City Movement stunned me with their surprisingly dance-y and uptempo jam Bengali Cinema, a must listen, particularly if you’re a Friendly Fires fan (reshare below), but here’s another fantastic track from them. Lir is more foggy and atmospheric, like their tunes that first caught my attention, including the amazing, ambient Move On. Lir is a beautiful, woozy listen, and it will be on their forthcoming Bengali Cinema EP, out June 23 via BLDG5 Records.

Earlier this year, Israeli electronic trio Garden City Movement swept me off my feet with their beautiful, downtempo song Move On, a tour de force of dreamy emotion. Now, they’ve released Bengali Cinema, a more uptempo, hooking jam. It’s completely different compared to Move On and was quite a surprise, albeit a very sweet one, when I pressed play on it. Bengali Cinema quickly reminds me of Friendly Fires and Foals, but more hazy and dreamy. It’s the title track off an EP coming out June 23 on BLDG5 Records. I think I’m in love with it. Sigh.
