I’m still a little crestfallen that PRXZM has re-located to Los Angeles. It’s a story much too familiar and rampant, since everyone seems to like to make their way out to either Brooklyn or Los Angeles once the world picks up on their talent, but I still love to boast when an up-and-coming artist or band resides right here in my beloved Bay. Let’s take a moment to dissolve into the electronic duo’s second single from their forthcoming Come Alive EP, a slow burning, trap & bass infused electronica/electro-R&B track named Tell Me Something New, richly adorned with dark prowling beats and sultry vocals. PRXZM captures the restless feeling of being obsessed with a new paramour on the track, letting that immensely overwhelming experience materialize with tactile magnificence. Stream/download the voluptuous single, burning guitars and all, here.

Galvanizing indeed is this 18 year old producer’s music, who’s been making waves in the EDM community back home in Wisconsin for awhile now, having built a mass of followers all across major music platforms with his prior releases. The young talent, who goes by the name of Galvanic, has more than caught our ears with an inky dark, gritty snarling new release named Ghost that melds together future bass, trap, electro-rock, and darkwave. It’s the producer’s first release in well over a year, and hopefully it won’t be his only single in 2018 considering how much we’re hooked on the spectral blaze that is Ghost. You can find the single on Apple Music, here.

Who doesn’t love Rihanna and Mikky Ekko’s heart pummeling ballad Stay? The song has been covered far and wide since it stole everyone’s hearts. Some of the best renditions were huge genre-crossing surprises too, including Low’s superb cover, a personal favorite of mine. But there haven’t been very many electronic edits of the smash hit, at least not an abundance that merited much praising and adoration. New Orleans producer CRWNS, however, has offered up a fresh new edit of Stay, which he’s named S-T-A-Y, and the wildly rousing and breathtakingly lifting track warrants some much deserved attention. His anthemic remix pitch shifts Rihanna’s voice giving it a more sprightly and ethereal aura to go with S-T-A-Y’s expansive and spacious, voluminous and explosive atmosphere. CRWNS has crafted a cinematic trap and monumental bass masterpiece out of Stay. And he’s giving it away as a free download, here.

I don’t know who it is that ye. and Far & Few want, but they want this person so bad that they’ve strung all the words together and added an extra “u” to the title of their beast of a collaboration. New York production phenom ye. and new duo on our radar Far & Few team up to give us a glorious trap and bass extravaganza named “iwantuu” rife with thunderous drums, pounding beats, and an intriguing Eastern aura to its frisky whimsical strings. It’s a bold, brassy, brazen track that amuses and tickles, excites and thrills. The super-charged arrangement, a concerted masterpiece, is a free download, here.

PRXZM’s transcendental cover remix of LA producer William Black’s Letting Go, featuring Park Avenue, arrives like a soft, aching sigh, but it leaves us floating on cloud nine with its effulgent flickering, majestic marching beauty. Their milky smooth vocals and tender keys emphasize the original’s emotive future bass potency. Melancholia abounds even as we’re whisked away on a blissful journey by the refined rendition. I’ve always been drawn to sadness and the beauty it encapsulates in its own, unique way. PRXZM’s version of Letting Go is the epitome of all that I love about sorrow and joy. You can listen to the original, here.  PRXZM’s remix can be found on The Letting Go Remix EP, here.

Life is more than beautiful when you have someone like French production phenom Kidswaste to soundtrack your days. The producer sends tingles down our spines with a stunning new future pop/future bass twinkler named Beautiful Life, featuring none other than fast ascending pop artist Sophie Simmons, who just gave us a dark scorcher of a pop dazzler named Burn Me Down a few weeks ago. She lends soft, honeyed vocals to Kidswaste’s new song, enchanting us to the utmost alongside a phosphorescent pleat of ornately trickling beats and gently plinking keys. Stream/download life-affirming Beautiful Life, here.

A Toronto producer hitherto unknown to us who goes by the name of Joe Ghost has shot us straight across the cosmos with the heart-stopping grandeur and regal splendor of his latest single, Give Me The Night. There’s no resisting its magnificent future bass and glorious electro, an uplifting tidal wave of triumphant synths and cinematic strings that reminds us of k?d and Flume combined. MKLA turns exceptionally scintillating vocals on the track, which is lifted from Joe Ghost’s debut EP Begin Again. You can find the EP on Spotify, here.

I was traipsing through Soundcloud nonchalantly like I always do in the mornings while fast at work, when I encountered this sick track that I knew I had to hop on to share immediately. The lightning bolt jolt that it’s brought me is way better than any rush the coffee I’m having right now could ever give. All hail Pon De Time, Wuki’s absolutely genius mashup of Daft Punk’s timeless hit One More Time and Major Lazer’s 2009 dance classic Pon De Floor. French electro, steely future house, and dancehall meld together exceptionally in Wuki’s hands to become the most exhilarating mashup I’ve come across in ages. Pon De Floor is a free download, here.

It’s no secret that Sweater Beats loves his alt rock and emo rock. In fact, we love him even more because of it, since we share much of that same nostalgic ardor after having spent our early to mid-2000′s addicted to a steady diet of MCR, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and so much more. I’d imagine Antonio was quite happy to be tapped for an official Fall Out Boy remix. The truth is, Fall Out Boy is lucky to have him on board their new official remix EP. The Los Angeles based producer, who’s ridiculously versatile, as you well know from our countless features over the years (including most recently, his new song with Icona Pop, Faded Away), has given FOB’s Hold Me Tight a melodic and cinematic trap work-over profusely packed with slick whizzing, brisk zestful energy. If you’re secretly hoping that Fall Out Boy and Louis The Child would work together to make a hybrid alt rock/dance song, Sweater Beats’ remix will be more than satisfy your craving. You can also stream the track on Spotify, here.

Last month, Dutch production team DROELOE dropped a lavishly constructed future trap opus named Many Words, on which they fused orchestral instrumentals with brassy swelling synths and airy light vocals. You can listen to that much adored single in its original splendor, here. New York’s JNTHN STEIN has since turned in an intricately chiming, fastidiously charging remix. It’s astounding how he’s managed to match his edit’s fast-paced vigor with a nimble agility that oozes sophistication and charm. How can one track be so dizzying and exhilarating, yet elaborate and articulate? The track is part of DROELOE’s official Many Words Remixes pack. Stream/download, here.
