I, like pretty much everyone else here on earth, have plenty of problems, but one of them isn’t a lack of fine music. In fact, Future Generations has made sure of that with their new single One More Problem. We can always count on them to lift us up with their uptempo anthems. The quintet from NYC serves up some mighty hooks and a dashing torrent of vivacious synthpop and vibrant rock on their latest such gem. Future Generations will be heading out on tour later this month with stops in Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, DC, and their hometown of NYC with Private Island.

This punchy fun new music video affords us the perfect opportunity to revisit a song I happen to adore very much. Stars comes from Future Generations’ excellent self titled album which came out over the summer on Frenchkiss Records. The New York based project dish out some utterly charming indie rock on Stars, giving us a jaunty lush treat that glows with an endearing incandescence. Stars is infinitely catchy, an airy nimble, carefree uplifting gem. Future Generations’ eponymous full length can be purchased, here.

I happen to find thunder and lightning much exciting and entrancing weather phenomena, and I can never fight the urge to want to stare eagerly into dark stormy skies whenever mother nature chooses to bestow us with some dramatic flashes and loud crackling. I find it breathtaking and humbling. Perhaps that’s why I’m drawn to Future Generations’ Thunder In The City, but in reality, it’s mostly due to how delightfully infectious this marvelous taste from their self titled debut album is. Thunder In The City is slick and mellifluous, not at all like what you might have envisioned when you first heard the song’s title. Its synthwavey alt rock ripples and whirls beautifully. The New York based four piece will release their self titled full length on July 29th via Frenchkiss Records. Judging by Thunder In The City and the zealously shared prior tastes from the record, the album’s going to be a stellar listen. Pre-order, here, and get Stars, Coast, and Thunder In The City immediately.

In just a little over a month, Future Generations will be dropping their self titled debut album, and they leave me much excited for that full length with a new cut from the release named Coast. The luscious and mellifluous rock on Coast is sweeping and vast, gripping me in much the same way that The Temper Trap’s music has been doing lately on their latest album, though far more suffused with shimmering sleek electronic elements. You can pre-order this four piece New York band’s debut album from Amazon.

The majority of Future Generations’ members first met while in the dorms of Fordham University. As fortune would have it, their college housing had a built in practice room and a piano in the foyer to encourage artistic collaboration. The band have since come together to craft a self titled debut album, out July 29th via Frenchkiss, and we’re all the more lucky for it indeed. Stars is a glowing taste from that album, its catchy beats and bright keys adding to its undeniable indie rock charm. Stars floats through the air nimbly, a carefree and uplifting gem. You can pre-order Future Generations’ debut album from Amazon.
