Most of my close friends know that I don’t like extreme rollercoasters, not because I’m scared of them, I’m not, but because I hate the feeling of free fall once it lasts more than a few seconds. POOLCLVB’s Free Fall, however, is just the sort of free fall that I do love. You see, this “free fall” is more like a triumphant soar through lush, coruscant electronic soundscapes. POOLCLVB blends deep pumping, future edged house with balmy synthpop, whilst guest chanteuse Doolie guides us on the exultant flight with her honeyed vocals . A drizzle of nu-disco funk and a whole lot of 90s nostalgia also saturate the warm, radiant dazzler. Let go of all your worries and dance your way into summer with Free Fall. We continue our synth embellished evening by visiting with St. Humain, a singer songwriter and producer who was born in Singapore but is now based out of Sydney, Australia. He’s quickly perked our ears and reeled us in with a molten combination of spry electronica, sleek synthpop, and irresistible pop hooks on new single Free Fall, out now on Capitol Records. Unsurprisingly, the single has already been featured on Apple Music’s Best Of The Week in multiple countris and Digster’s new music playlists. It’s only St. Humain’s sophomore single, but it’s an indelible statement that binds 80s pop with the effervescence of modern electronica. St. Humain’s Free Fall can be found on iTunes, here.

GEMS is in the midst of their Every Full Moon series in which they swaddle us with a new slice of dreamy enthralling electronic pop every month. The DC duo follow up on last month’s treat, Blow Out The Light, with a dusky slinking, rich whirring new tune fittingly named Free Fall. Gauzy guitar riffs and jagged beats sit in a bed of hazy electro opulence on this thoroughly bewitching gem, a must for any fan of bands like Sylvan Esso and Purity Ring. Free Fall can also be streamed on Spotify. As we eagerly await the next full moon (and a fresh lunar new year at that), you can re-visit some of GEMS prior inebriating tunes on Soundcloud.

Those “Sideways crew” members from Toronto just never stop dropping hot tracks, do they? From Coleman Hells’ Thumbalina the other day, we not move on to fellow crew member and talented musician/producer La+ch’s latest, an enchanting and honeyed offering named Free Fall, off his forthcoming + EP. His unique, Sam Smith like, but even more piquant vocals have me utterly bewitched yet again on the new tune.
