I’ve been planning to share this aptly named song, Slop, for a few days now. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I waited till today, because I happened upon the delightful news that Lorde is also a fan of Forth Wanderers this morning, and now I can share that bit of trivia with you, too. Forth Wanderers is an indie band from Montclair, New Jersey, and Slop is the title track from their forthcoming EP, due out November 11th via House Anxiety and Father/Daughter. The moment I heard Slop, I was hooked. This is a melodic cut of tattered indie rock that floats and shimmers beautifully, all the while bursting with bittersweet angst. Forth Wanderer’s Slop EP can be pre-ordered, here.
