Who else but Toronto beatmaker and songcrafter Tep No could promise us an endless summer with but one track? He’s linked up with rising Irish talent Jamie Brown on Follow You, a weightless burbling, balmy tropical groover, and it’s nothing short of soothingly sublime. They swaddle us with creamy smooth, downy soft vocals and warm, crisp beats. Follow You is a burst of blissed out sunshine. I have Tep No to thank for keying me in to twenty year old singer songwriter Jamie Brown, who counts Adele and Kimbra as her influences. Follow You, produced and co-written with Tep No, marks her first release on Tep No Records.

Los Angeles electronic trio Cheat Codes are ever swooning and enrapturing on the fast rising act’s new song, Follow You. They once again seamlessly fusing chill house, tropical house, and folksy pop, delivering an irresistibly saccharine concoction. Whether it’s new love, old love, or love that’s gone forever, Follow You is a fine and rousing way to reminisce or indulge. The band say that the song is about being willing to overcome any obstacle for someone you love. I think most of us have been there at some point or another. Cheat Codes is currently on tour with another long time IHM electronic favorite, The Chainsmokers.

OFFICIAL VID: YAWN – Follow You

Sometimes, I feature artists and bands with spectacular music, and I wish they had Soundcloud uploads, so I could feature the audio streams and get the tracks on Hype Machine. YAWN is one such band. If you fellas are reading this and have a soundcloud, please, do drop me a line. The Chicago quartet is gearing up to release their sophomore album Love Chills come September 9 on Old Flame Records. Follow You is an amazingly gorgeous and baroque flavored single off the release, and it has a trippy, molecular inclined music video to accompany it, too. I find it very mesmerizing, having studied in that field back in my college days. The song itself has some shades of bewitching folksy pop, as well as endless melodic harmonies to keep you enchanted.

Los Angeles electropop act Monogem has a new one for us, and like her prior songs, Follow You is a vibrant, catchy synthpop tune with tons of 80’s flavored, glistening synths with some M83 meets Miami Horror moments, plus some of that SoCal pop sound we’ve been hearing from other up and coming indie acts like DWNTWN and Haerts. If you missed their buoyant, infectious song Wait And See a month ago, check it out below.
