It’s a classic chugging brand of rock and roll that The Mystery Lights brings us on their latest single Follow Me Home, one with much grungy garage flair and gritty punk ridges. The band, fresh off a highly praised first ever European tour, brings us a sound that evokes the acidic psychedelia of the 60s and 70s. Follow Me Home is a glorious chunk of robust and rugged sexiness. Watch the fittingly lo-fi video for Follow Me Home below. The song will be on the band’s self titled LP, due out June 24th on Daptone Records’ new rock subsidiary, Wick Records.

This video has been out for a month, but I just found out about it. Bright, sunny, very happy music. Cute hipster video. Hmm. I think I like. Mausi consists of a brother sister collaboration along with a couple other bandmates. Can’t find too much information about them yet, they are unsigned at the moment as far as I know.

They had another single out titled Follow Me Home much earlier this year, but it was actually pretty tough to find on youtube and elsewhere. Even on tumblr searches, the video linked went to a “private” error message. But I’ll post the bandcamp version below. It does sound rather different from Sol, maybe they’re going a different direction so took off references to the single for some reason? Still sounds bright and colorful though. I’ll also include Kiss So Slow, which I like more than Follow me Home.
