Man, I’ve seen Foster The People at my first Coachella, Big Gigantic last year, but I need me some The Knocks at Coachella soon. Anyways, New York’s finest production duo released a remix package of their of fire track Ride or Die and Big Gigantic didn’t fail in bringing the heat. I can’t even finish writing about this inferno since the heat has my fingertips rising off the keyboard in an attempt to fan the flames.

I’m very excited I finally get to catch German producer Roosevelt live on Friday, when he plays Popscene SF alongside Little Boots. Why am I so excited? Well, it’s obvious, isn’t it? Just listen to his new remix of British indie rock band Sundara Karma’s infectious song Flame. I’m already a huge fan of the original (and Sundara Karma, who just signed to Chess Club), and now I can’t resist Roosevelt’s remix. He takes Flame’s hooking chorus and passionate vocals, creating a blissfully funky indie dance atmosphere full of luminous warmth and springy dance pop spirit.

Yes, you are correct, I have already shared this killer tune with you in the past! But Sundara Karma’s Flame is such a sweeping, electrifying rock song that I figured it’s a good one with which start off today’s music sharing session, particularly now that it has a video to a accompany it (that’s slightly NSFW, FYI). This new British quartet has impressed me with each and every song they’ve revealed this year, from their terrific debut EP to this recent single, Flame. Imagine blending together some of Foals’ dance rock spirit with mellifluous, radiant The Wombats and a touch of Young The Giant, and we might have something as spectacular as Sundara Karma’s Flame. Watch their new video for the track below, and purchase Flame on iTunes, out now on Chess Club Records.

NYC’s Controller first thrilled me several months ago with their rambunctious tune Separator. They bring that post punk meets garage pop spirit right back at us with new song Flame. It’s such a catchy, upbeat, and punchy tune, with its pop punk flair and playful power pop guitars. If it’s a fun rock song you’re looking for, this one comes highly recommended. The five piece band is known for their energetic performances, and it’s glaringly obvious that Flame would be a rip roaring experience live. It gives me such an urge to get up and jump until my hair goes flying every which way.

Earlier this year, I was much convinced that British alt rockers Sundara Karma were a band to watch going forth. They brought such rocking energy and sweeping emotion on their debut EP. The quartet premiered brand new song, Flame, on BBC Radio last night, and upon listening to the melodic, spirited number, I’m again reminded why I was stubborn with my convictions previously. Flame is a boisterous yet heart rending rock anthem, an electrifying, high powered The Wombats with some Foals’ dance rock pluckiness. The spectacular single is out now on Chess Club Records.
