The finespun beauty of Fjord’s ambient pop & indie electro has never been more apparent than on the Canadian duo’s new song, I Get It Now, a glacial gliding, soulful enrapturing gem. I Get It Now is at once as gorgeously graceful as London Grammar and as oscillating entrancing as Vallis Alps. I Get It Now comes in advance of Fjord’s full length debut album, Textures, due out September 16th independently. Textures seems a rather appropriate title for a record I’m infinitely excited for, considering the supple structure and tactile nature of Fjord’s music. I Get It Now can also be streamed from Spotify.

Quebec’s Fjord has given us some downtempo electronic pop music that brims with graceful elegance and luxuriant beauty. New song Shapes exudes that and plenty more, grooving warmly with a soft funk, again evoking bands like London Grammar and Poliça, in a very lush and refined manner. Fjord’s chill electronic pop swirls and hovers weightlessly with a soothing dreaminess. Head over to Fjord’s Soundcloud if you made the mistake of missing their earlier songs, Blue and Irrational.

Rich and luscious is Blue, Canadian duo Fjord’s latest tune. It’s a solemn, beautiful song lined with gorgeous piano and haunting, minimalist leaning electronic production. They again remind me of London Grammar with their pristine, gliding vocals and a crystalline, intoxicating atmosphere. Revisit the previously featured Fire, featuring Gab Shonk, below.

Young Canadian indie duo Fjord delights my ears with their gorgeous single Fire, featuring vocals by Gab Shonk. Please don’t confuse their seductive music with that of UK alt rock band Fjords, whom I’m quite fond of, too. Fjord’s music has an abundance of dreaminess and some flavorful 70’s style, reminding me of Fleetwood Mac meets Poliça and either London Grammar or Arthur Beatrice. The production is incredibly opulent and rich, while Gab Shonk’s vocals are smoky and alluring.
