We’ve been touting Portugal. the Man’s Feel It Still as one of the best tracks of the year, so it’s been very vindicating to watch my favorite American psych rock band get nominated for a Grammy for the funky swaggering jam, which has now become the most ubiquitous and omnipresent hit of 2017. Over the course of the past several months, an insane amount of ridiculously good remixes of Feel It Still have surfaced in the music scene. But there’s always room for one more brilliant rendition, particularly when its this edit by NYC’s Jenaux. Feel It Still gets some chill dreamy feels on the languorous future funk re-work. It’s a brassy playful, jazzy chic romp with smooth glossy corners and luscious synths. Grab it for free, here.

I think we’ve shared at least half a dozen remixes of Portugal. the Man’s dominating single Feel It Still. It’s a whopping number and a testament to how truly bodacious the funky swaggering hit really is. We named it one of our top songs of the year, and it went on to snag our favorite American psych rock band their first Billboard #1. Gryffin pays tribute to the song on his latest release, too, giving it the good ol’ coruscant winged, halcyon lifting griffin treatment. And what’s a Gryffin remix without those requisite effulgent guitars and iridescent future chops? We’re feeling it, and we’ll be feeling it still for a very long time to come. Do yourself a favor, catch Gryffin on his expansive Castle In The Sky tour, details are available, here.

What’s that, you say? Another remix of Portugal. the Man’s funky strutting, slick swaggering hit Feel It Still? Yes, I agree we’ve heard a crazy amount of those lately. Chalk it up to how magnificent the original is, but also let’s give a standing ovation to all the amazing producers who have seamlessly created their own unique takes on the tune. South Korean native NIKÖ BLANK offers up the latest imaginative re-work. The producer gives Feel It Still a smoldering future bass re-fix that takes us on a dark and atmospheric, majestic and cinematic adventure through the deepest regions of the mind. It’s gritty yet cosmic, suspenseful yet liberating. And it’s a free download, here.

I was completely mind blown when psych rock faves Portugal. the Man teased a new remix by ZHU the other day. I never thought we’d be treated to a track that brought together Portugal. the Man’s funky swaggering rock and ZHU’s deep, dark house, but here we are, dancing to an atmospheric rumbling, muggy pumping remix of chart topping hit Feel It Still in pure ecstasy. Its curling bass and lavish synths even seem to bring us some sexy SOFI TUKKER vibes. We’ll be dancing all weekend long to this decadent track. The original is of course off of Portugal. the Man’s wicked new album WOODSTOCK, available, here. Download/purchase ZHU’s remix, here.

I said it from the very first moment it met my ears, but Portugal. the Man’s Feel It Still is without a doubt one of the best songs of 2017, if not THE best song of the year. It seems, the world is in agreement now. Feel It Still recently achieved number 1 status over on the Billboard charts, and it’s quickly become the song of summer, appearing over the radio, across television advertisements, in dance videos, and everywhere in between. As such, an endless stream of fine remixes, both official and unofficial, has been flowing through the scene. Puerto Rico’s Volta and Brooklyn’s Oji, better known together as production duo ojivolta, are the latest electronic savants to turn in a more than worthy edit of Feel It Still. They take full advantage of the original’s wonky funk and heady psychedelia on their gritty and brassy future funk and chill trap remix. The whimsically mesmeric, frisky and feisty edit stays true to the original’s mischievous quality. For more of ojivolta’s sonic creativity, check out their releases on Soundcloud, here.

Portugal. the Man’s Feel It Still is one of my favorite songs of the year. Its a funkalicious and vivacious whirlwind, and some fine remixes of the track have been surfacing for the track this past month. Parisian duo Ofenbach are the masterminds behind the latest spectacular dance edit. They’ve given Feel It Still their earthy stomping house treatment, and it’s another can’t miss approach on the ace tune. It’s almost like Portugal. the Man gone Broken Back.

I’ve gushed aplenty over my love for Portugal. the Man’s psychedelic funk joyride Feel It Still, and I’ve given Lido’s remix of the track endless adulation as well. Today, we target our praise ats a new edit of the magnificent song by Dallas producer Medasin. His remix is nothing short of brilliant, too. Feel It Still goes twilight chill and dreamy surreal on this sublimely mellow future beats rendering. Medasin’s Feel It Still is more like “feel it forever”, and it’s out now on iTunes, here.

I’ve been bumping this one countless times a day since it first surfaced late last week. If this is your first encounter with this epic remix, you’ve been missing out! Portugal. the Man’s funky grooving, snappy shimmying Feel It Still is one of my favorite tracks of the year. Imagine my surprise when a remix surfaced crafted by none other than esteemed multi-instrumentalist and producer Lido? That’s right, Feel It Still has received a genius Lido treatment, and it’s incredible (and swag, SO swag)! Not only has this Salzinger fellow won me over with his latest remix, a riveting flip of Boston project Sleeping Lion’s Generous, but the enigmatic producer confirms his firm hold with the bevy of edits he released prior, too. I find myself totally entranced and falling into a profoundly meditative state as Salzinger’s fine texture and electrifying shimmers flick their way through my ears. His “sleeping lion” must be caught up in one surreal dream. This future bass remix is nothing short of breathtaking. If it is a dream, I’d be happy to be trapped within its confines for all time to come. Upon further inspection after such an impressive introduction, I’ve discovered that Salzinger must love some of the same bands and artists that I do. Check out his remixes of Portugal. The Man’s funkadelic single Feel It Still below. Then stream Salzinger’s take on Alt-J classic Breezeblocks, too. His remix of Sleeping Lion can be downloaded for free, here.

Oh I’m feeling it alright today, thanks to my faves, Portugal. the Man. The Alaskan natives are back with their first proper single in awhile, not including their electro groovy one off, Noise Pollution, from earlier this year. The groovalicious, funkadelic psych pop vibes they deal out on Feel It Still are decadent and scrumptious. It shimmies and swaggers with a slick sheen and a soulful vintage charm. Feel It Still is like Danger Mouse gone Fitz and the Tantrums. The hooking jam, which I’ve already listened to countless times today, is likely a taste from Portugal. the Man’s next album, Gloomin + Doomin. No release date has been announced yet, but I’m hoping we get to hear it by the time the band plays their Greek Theatre show in Berkeley on July 28th. They’ll be playing an intimate show at the Independent in San Francisco on March 13th, too!
