Here to haunt and enchant us are Bristol duo Svelte, whose second single, FAÇADE, is a gorgeously moody minimalist electropop simmerer. Underneath its soft, hushed starkness is a strained tension, a suffocating despair, all delivered with such exquisite, breathtaking beauty. Like a blend of London Grammar and Evanescence’s Amy Lee, FAÇADE slowly creeps with trip hop beats and siren like vocals, creating a near gothic, darkly gripping experience. Svelte will be releasing a track a month for the next year, with an album culminating in July 2016, a exciting strategy that more and more artists seem to be taking up in our digital age.
