You can’t really fault me for being glad that Kill Paris never ended up changing his name, right? I mean, the inspiration behind it a few years ago was nothing but honorable and respectable, but I would never have gotten used to calling him anything else but Kill Paris. The long time production luminary has returned with a dreamy stirring, flushed and sentimental future bass aria named Made Of Time, featuring dewy vocals by fellow Californian Trove as well as misty aureate cooing by Emily Vaughn (both of whom contributed to writing the song, too). Made Of Time is a fleecy embrace, whose gentle lurches and sweetly melting ambiance can thaw the coldest of hearts. You can also stream Made Of Time via Spotify, here.

Sharing Emily Vaughn’s new single has been a “priority” for us since we first heard it last week, though we’ve been criminally delayed for a few good days, due to getting backed up by our insanely foggy weekend at Outside Lands Music Festival here in San Francisco. We’re utterly enchanted by the now Los Angeles based starlet and her crystalline pop on Priority. Despite its ethereal beauty, there’s also a copious amount of bouncy sass and a volatile edge to the infectious electro and R&B inflected ballad. You’ll be singing along in no time to this confident ode to independence and self-reliance. We look ahead with eagerness as Emily Vaughn prepares to unleash more singles upon us, hopefully culminating in a new EP.

Fortunately for us, there’s no need to “Think Twice” when it comes to Emily Vaughn’s latest gem. She explores the tormenting position of having to leave a bad relationship on the vibrant throbbing, bold thrumming pop song, but we’re left with no such dilemma when it comes to vigorously attaching ourselves to the vehement ballad. The Nashville by way of Florida starlet takes a vice like grip on our hearts with yet another solid gold single, even as she inspires us as individuals to stand up for ourselves against the venomous predicaments we each might be facing.

After some sensational electropop in 2015, Emily Vaughn disappeared off the radar. Until now. The Florida based chanteuse makes a heartfelt return on sparkling What Do You Want, a spellbinding, stirring ballad with gorgeous moving vocals. What Do You Want glistens gently, a wistful and catchy pop jewel. The singer songwriter reminds me of Taylor Swift with a touch of Carly on the lovely taste from an upcoming full length album. What Do You Want is out now on iTunes.

Emily Vaughn’s stellar pop anthem Better Off is injected with slicing, jabbing energy on a remix by New York’s Chachi, who has me revitalized and ready to dance it up all over my living room on this late Wednesday evening with the banging track. Get ready to bounce to its massive beats and deep future house exuberance. There’s no escaping the way it will make you feel, no matter where you are, or what time it is. You’ll be “better off” for it, trust me. Free download, here.

Florida’s emerging pop talent, Emily Vaughn, gave us a bold and infectious second song some months ago named Better Off. She captivated me thoroughly with the tune, an arresting pop anthem that reminded me of Zella Day and Tove Lo, with a hint of smoky BANKS. It’s a very different climate she sings in on a remix of Better Off by electronic duo Lash, who give us a richly driving deep house Better Off with jagged future edge and some cool summer glow. The duo stated that their prior releases have been more pop sounding, so they wanted to return to their original Lash sound with this future/deep vibe. Download the banging remix for free, here.

Time flies, and it’s been over half a year since a new Florida based electronic pop chanteuse named Emily Vaughn spellbound us with her debut song Hollow. It’s been a long wait, but Emily finally follows it up with second bold and infectious song, Better Off.  The 20 year old singer songwriter is captivating on lovelorn rumination, an immediately arresting pop anthem that reminds me of Zella Day and Tove Lo, with a hint of the smoky darkness of BANKS or George Maple. Better Off is available now on iTunes, and it’s a superb second offering. Keep an eye on this one.

Here’s some fresh and electrifying new new in the female electropop world. Emily Vaughn hails from a very small town in Florida, but her debut song Hollow carries a far reaching, powerful boldness that bespeaks of much maturity and dauntless dynamism. The potent and edgy song carries some of the sultry fire of BANKS as well as the bewitching, crispness of Tove Lo.
