“Follow me down into the wilderness” invites Early Hours on their melting new summer anthem. I’ll follow the South African quartet to the ends of the earth when they’re serenading me with their saccharine guitar pop. Into The Wilderness is a sweet heart render, an eruption of rosy glowing, light hearted gaiety. It’s a sun kissed song that beckons us to let go and free ourselves, have fun and live for the moment. The laid back, feel good gem is Early Hours’ first single from debut EP First Light, out August 26th.

Cape Town quartet Early Hours never fail at charming me with their brand of jangly, sun kissed indie pop music. Dance Along is one of their most luminous and heart warming yet, an upbeat, breezy, Afropop hued gem mixed by JP Fung (Last Dinosaurs, Jinja Safari) and mastered in the US by Grammy nominee Joe Laporta (Foo Fighters, The Killers, Imagine Dragons). There’s a weightless youthfulness to Early Hours, a sweet and endearing blend of Two Doors Cinema Club, The Strokes, Friendly Fires, and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Early Hours is a four piece from Cape Town, South Africa, with a jangly, heart warming sound on new single Changehood. The hooking song is a sun kissed, garage flavored indie pop and rock treat that sits somewhere between Two Door Cinema Club and The Strokes. Warm guitars, charming vocals, and a stomping rhythm make for a youthful and woozy listen. Early Hours are recording a new EP in NYC this December.

Sunkissed and very much living up to its name is Smells Like Summer, a bright and cheery indie rock and Britpop flavored treat from Cape Town band Early Hours. Early Hours is a young rising outfit with a 3 track debut EP that came out in 2013. Their alt music draws influences from bands including Arctic Monkeys, The Maccabees, and Bombay Bicycle Club. Follow up Smells Like Summer with the uptempo gem Back To Front, their infectious debut single from 2013 that evokes Two Doors Cinema Club and a touch of more languid Phoenix.
