Some belated birthday wishes are in order for Dirty Audio, who turned 22 years old earlier this week. The Los Angeles based producer chose to team up with young gifted Jupe so he could give US a present in celebration of his special day. This kind generosity is more than appreciated, particularly when Down Under is such a vigorous trap and bass banger. Down Under’s high octane thrills are gritty jostling. It’s an adrenaline rush on which Miami based Jupe smelts his melodic future bass with Dirty Audio’s more than filthy drops. You can download Down Under for free, here.

True story, I was at Hype Hotel in Austin for one of their daytime SXSW showcases, and I heard Estrons go on across the street at Fader Fort. I was so enthralled by the female fronted Welsh band’s passionately rocking that I rushed over and nearly trampled people over to make my way through to the stage. While their fiery intense music has reminded me of The Kills in the past, Estrons suddenly felt somewhat Savages like live, and I couldn’t fight the urge to see them and absorb some of their contagious energy. That alluring pull can certainly be felt on Estrons’ explosive new song, Drop, a grungy noise rock and post punk slasher. My only regret was that I wasn’t able to catch Estrons’ set in full, and I hope to do that someday soon. I’m excited for that day.

SoCal’s NGHTMRE is crazy blowing up these days, and deservedly so. After making his EDC debut just this past June, he’s scheduled to play the main stages of a long list of fests Labor Day weekend, closing out a magnificent summer indeed. To celebrate that fact, he’s presenting us his wicked remix of Canadian trap trio Keys N Krates’ “classic” track Dum Dee Dum. It’s a raging edit that NGHTMRE has been dropping in his live sets for some time now. We all know, or at least this Keys N Krates fan knows, how banging and slamming the infectious original already is, but NGHTMRE’s remix is even more gloriously down and dirty. Mixed into the earth shaking track is a sampling of Notorious B.I.G. Filthy and tipsy, best combo ever. Download NGHTMRE’s remix for free, here.

It’s high energy rager moment before I call it a session so I can go cheer for my beloved Golden State Warriors in game 2 of the playoff series against the Clips! This one’s for all the trap fans out there (just like me), the taco bell fans, the cat fans, the big Dillon Francis face sign fans, and, oh yea, the DAFT PUNK fans, who were just punked by Arcade Fire less than 24 hours ago at Coachella! If none of that made sense to you, then it’s clear, you’re not a fan of any of the above. You can still enjoy this brand new remix of Daft Punk classic Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Dillon Francis, though. It’s a romping, fun take on the French electro house banger with some satisfying filthy drops and bounce.

Chicago production duo Win & Woo took me by storm today when I stumbled upon their music. The electronic duo released a new remix today of Tritonal & Paris Blohm’s Colors. It’s breathtakingly gorgeous with its melodic buildups and cathartic drops. Then I went on to discover they had offered up a sick remix of Flume’s Holding On a few weeks back. I love Flume. And I love how producers take Flume’s tracks and approach it from every direction imaginable. Win & Woo’s Holding On is a smooth, gentle, polished beauty. The filthiness is toned down immensely, and we have a euphoric, lustrous gem. Keep an eye on this duo.

Now, for something heavier and super sick. Atlanta producer heRobust remixed Pretty Lights’ Let’s Get Busy for his A Color Map Of The Sun Remixes EP. It’s deliciously filthy, indulgently glitchy, and bursting with drops. If you’ve never heard of heRobust before, it’s time you checked out his amazing, even filthier original track She Know She Bad from a month ago. Trap, baby. Trap.
