Some of you may not have heard of Paris yet, but trust me, you’ll be hearing a whole lot of this name soon enough. He’s a swiftly rising artist from Los Angeles who’s already been tapped to go on tour with Post Malone, and his new single trap/hip hop single Reasons, produced by Taz Taylor, Nick Mira, and E-Trou Beats, is undeniably hooking and fresh. Reasons is coarse and gritty, but its electronic soundscape is also dreamily hypnagogic. You can find shades of tour mate Post Malone and fellow rising star Joji in the song. You can also stream Paris’ prior viral release Po’ed Up, produced by Marz, via Soundcloud, here.

If you’re as glued to television series The Walking Dead as much as I am, you’re probably all caught up on last weekend’s mid-season finale, and you’re probably anguishing over what happened, too. But I’m not going to spoil the surprise. In a somewhat related note, turns out one of the actors from the show has some hidden musical talent, and he’s just released his first single. That person is Chandler Riggs, the 18 year old actor who plays Carl on the show. He makes his production debut as Eclipse with a transcendental future bass styled opus named ‘hold on’, featuring mahogany voiced Los Angeless songstress Lolaby on halcyon vocals. “Hold on” we gladly do as Eclipse takes us on a tranquil, cosmic journey with his lush levitating synths and exquisitely ethereal soundscape. The chill meditative, symphonic rich electronic aria is a spiritually enriching experience. The beautifully constructed, sublimely presented song is a free download, here.

Satin haunting future R&B leaves me drifting in a state of euphoria on no1nexttoyou, a track from a mysterious production project named joneses. The nebulous yet luxuriant song features vocals by Zainab Darong and it feels very much like a smooth rolling rendition of What So Not or Flume, with all their sharper edges rounded out. The glassy fluid affair firmly lands this producer on my radar. The NJ native continues to seduce me through my ears with tunes like
Øpia and mt fuji cherry, both of which you can stream below. no1nexttoyou is a free download, here.
