I HEART MOOSIQ PREMIERE:

With a second exquisite song unleashed, San Francisco’s Devon Baldwin is proving herself to be a rising R&B and electronic pop star. With her mesmerizing voice and magnetizing allure, she’s like Northern California’s answer to Los Angeles’ smoky, sensuous BANKS. In all likelihood, fans of G-Eazy have been enamored with Devon Baldwin and her passionate, seductive vocals for some time now, considering her guest features on a number of the fast rising Oakland hip hop artist’s songs. On her new song Blame, Devon again teams up with Los Angeles producer 4e, who also produced her stunning debut song Refuse. Blame is a slinky, steamy electro-R&B jam that snakes about with such deliberate and rousing moodiness. Devon’s silky vocals glide weightlessly over 4e’s ethereal and opulent production. There’s a sheer, divine, and immaculate quality to the track that reminds me heavily of FKA Twigs’ captivating mystique. Follow up Blame with a re-visit of Devon Baldwin’s 4e produced debut single Refuse below. As a bonus track, Devon’s also offered up a terrific, effervescent cover of Blink 182’s Don’t Leave Me, produced by Christoph Andersson, which you can stream below Refuse. It’s a magnificent electropop take on the original. I’ll bet you’ve never heard Blink 182 this way before.

Geez, it’s like there’s an onslaught of Regina Spektor material after a long, painful drought. Here’s the video for Don’t Leave Me (Ne Me Quitte Pas). It’s a cute little video to match the cute little very French ditty off of the brand new album What We Saw From The Cheap Seats.
