We’re no expert when it comes to the fine tuning of label contracts and the bureaucracy that’s probably involved in the process, but we are glad that Austalian pop phenom Betty Who seems very content with her new return to independent status, and her first single as an indie artist is easily one of our favorite tracks from her in awhile. While Ignore Me has been picking up a lot of acclaim (check out our feature, here), it seems this new arrangement has also afforded the songbird a chance to make a sweet cameo on Dutch producer Don Diablo’s latest soaring dance anthem. Higher takes us on a swift serotonin ascent with its high energy, luscious pumping house, plus its music video is a barrage of amazing animal footage, including some adorable felines. Aside from music, animals and nature are probably my biggest passions. Combined with Don Diablo’s lifting opus and Betty Who’s sonorous vocals, this audio-visual package is pure sensory heaven. So why the critters and creatures? Higher is the title song for a wildlife feature film named Wild Amsterdam, playing in cinemas across Holland right now. Learn more about the film, here. Higher is taken from Don Diablo’s album, FUTURE, released last month and available, here.

It’s a collaboration of epic proportions as Amsterdam’s Don Diablo partners up with Jersey indie electronic darlings A R I Z O N A on a breezy tune named Take Her Place. It’s a gentle, tender waltz of a house and future bass jam. In usual A R I Z O N A form, Take Her Place tenderizes the heart, while Don Diablo whisks us away on a dance-ready balmy house fantasy. Take Her Place is a fairy tale of a key-laden, beatific beauty. Take Her Place is the second single from Don Diablo’s forthcoming album. He’s totally on point when he says: “it’s the perfect marriage between my trademark production style and the bands’ signature style.” Stream/download Take Her Place, here.

Feel good and inspiring is the least we could say about this brand new collaborative anthem from Dutch DJ/producer Don Diablo and Italian duo MARNIK. Just its title itself already promises a majestic and epic adventure. Children Of A Miracle is a sweeping sonic cocktail fashioned out of dubstep, trap, future bass, and electro. It’s fantastical and magical, even reminding me of enchanting Scandi-pop from the likes of Aurora or Mr Little Jeans, but paired with warbling, pounding electronic aesthetics. Those of you in Miamia for Ultra may be in for a treat when Don Diablo takes the main stage on March 24th. I have a feeling he’ll likely drop this grand new tune. Children Of A Miracle is out now on Spinnin’, download here.

Bastille is king when it comes to wonderfully catchy, high flying tunes. Their new single Good Grief certainly hasn’t disappointed. Dutch DJ and producer Don Diablo injects Good Grief with a massive dose of vivacious summer energy on his future meets progressive house remix, and it even comes with its own music video, too! Whoever you might be missing right now, you’re going to be missing that person even more as Dan Smith belts out the song’s pining lyrics from within Don Diablo’s vivid colorful, vigorous jouncing soundscape. And the coming reunion is only going to be that much sweeter and more satisfying.

Birdy’s current single, Keeping Your Head Up, receives a dazzling remix treatment from Dutch DJ and producer Don Diablo. It’s a high energy edit that highlights the beauty of Birdy’s powerful vocals, a voice that carries much more robustness than some would realize from her earlier, wispier tunes. Keeping Your Head Up keeps my head up and bopping fiercely with its gorgeously breathtaking build ups as well as its future tinted and progressive hued house bounce.

This is one of the most exhilarating remixes I’ve encountered all week, and my share of it was slightly delayed thanks to the NBA Finals last night. There’s plenty of heart pumping action and feel good vibes on the track to make up for the belated share, trust me on this one. I’m already such a fan of The Wombat’s music and their recent album Glitterbug. Dutch producer Don Diablo takes The Wombats’ irresistibly infectious alt pop anthem Give Me A Try and infuses it with a mega dose of house energy. You’ll be itching to clap along to the remix in no time. Don Diablo takes The Wombats to a world of rich electronica, melding bits of future house, deep house, electro house, and progressive house all into one slamming, smashing tune. Hold on to your hats and buckle up! Oh, and there’s a music video, too. The colossal tune is out now on Beatport.
