Good ol’ indie roots/folk rock band Dispatch recently made a lot of people happy with news of their reunion and a new album, the first in 12 years. The new album Circles Around The Sun will release on August 21 this summer, and Josaphine is one of the tracks on that album. It’s a very sweet, gentle, meandering tune. This is good stuff, and though I’m not well versed in Dispatch and normally don’t listen to them, I find myself wanting to hear the rest of their comeback album. Lovely stuff. Keep listening, the song takes you places beyond your expectations. It doesn’t just go in revolutions around the same sound for almost 6 minutes. It’s some touching, earnest, bittersweet music. Now, I’ll have to go back and revisit and appreciate their older music!
