And now, for one of those life changing, soundtrack to human emotion moments. Dirty Beaches, who dropped a gritty lo-fi rock filled album in 2011 titled Badlands, is a music savant. He goes on a very different path with some of his other music, including this beautiful, jaw dropping instrumental piece titled Love Is The Devil. Get ready for something absolutely breathtaking. The song is the title track off a double LP he’ll be releasing in May, titled Drifters/Love Is The Devil. It’s obviously going to be something special. On top of that, Dirty Beaches, or Alex Zhang Hungtai, also added a Charles Bukowski quote in the description for this upload: “Love is a fog that burns with the first daylight of reality." MAD brownie points.

Wow. This is different. And intense. And dark. Very dark. Dirty Beaches consists of one dude, Alex Zhang Hungtai, originally from Taiwan and a drifter for years until settling down in Montreal. The song is very dirty with a vintage rock and roll feel. I’m liking it. Very grimy and even cinematic. The guy’s voice sounds a little like Elvis’. Gotta check out more Dirty Beaches material!
