How I managed to miss out on a superb new song from Digitalism late last month is the ultimate mystery, just like Jet is the ultimate jam from the beloved German outfit. Thrashing synths, exultant beats, and dramatic splendor permeate the sprawling sonic adventure. We’re taken to faraway lands and distant times by Jet, which ‘jets’ us all across the world with its propulsive percussion and dauntless drive. The imaginative electro house track will be on Digitalism’s forthcoming EP, 5KY11GHT. Purchase, here.

I consider Digitalism’s earlier albums Idealism and I Love You Dude rather formative in the growth of my electronic music tastes in the years prior to the creation of this blog. So, I greet every new Digitalism song with much enthusiasm, and I’ve found I’m never disappointed despite setting the bar high. The German duo recently revealed news of a new EP named 5KY11GHT alongside a fresh US/UK tour announcement. Spektrum is our first taste of that EP. Its a hypnotic drilling, chunky jabbing, crisp bouncing soiree with plenty of the duo’s trademark electro sound. Caribou’s multi-spacial approach rears its head on the mesmeric thriller too, alongside scintillating breaks, a trance like sheen, and a robust Jersey club like recoil. Yes, in other words, Spektrum is really a “spectrum” of sound, a suspenseful yet stimulating sonic rainbow. Find out more about Digitalism’s forthcoming spring tour, here. Look out for more news regarding their EP soon. And you can snag Spektrum, here.

It’s “go time” indeed on the latest track from beloved German duo Digitalism. Hold on to your hats and strap yourselves in, because we’re about to go for a cosmic ride across neon rainbows alongside Go Time, a high energy dance pop and electropop song that reminds me heavily of the duo’s 2011 album I Love You Dude. Go Time is pure, adrenaline pumping ecstasy, and a spectacular taste from Digitalism’s new album Mirage, due out May 13th. Pre-order from various outlets here. Digitalism will be touring this spring and summer, with a stop here in San Francisco on June 1st at the Independent.

It’s been far too long since we’ve heard from beloved German duo Digitalism, but they complete me with some sudden new material, including this exceptional track, Utopia, on which they go deep and dark. Though I love all three of Digitalism’s new songs, Utopia is without a doubt my favorite, its intricate detail, bubbling synths, and breezy aura reminding me of Dan Snaith’s work as Caribou at various times on the track, but with a plentiful dose of Aphex Twin. Utopia is very much a sonic oasis, a prog rock and acid house tinged indie electro masterpiece, its fantasy world of glimmering arpeggios a fast as the wind adrenaline rush. Utopia is a cosmic journey through an esoteric daydream fantasy. I’m left with chills running up and down my spine as I prepare to dive back into this chromatically sparkling Utopia. I highly recommend you visit Digitalism’s Soundcloud to listen to their other new tracks. All three are tastes from the duo’s first album in five years, Mirage, out May 13th.

German duo Digitalism’s spectacular recent single Second Chance goes even bolder and more audacious on a throbbing remix by Los Angeles based producer Funkagenda. The hooking, engrossing remix is incredibly uplifting and magnificent, the perfect anthem to inspire a crowded, sweaty dance floor to start writhing and jumping in euphoria.

I’ve been missing German electronic duo Digitalism very much. It’s been 3 long years since their last album, I Love You Dude, one which I enjoyed very much, whether dancing around to at home or live at their shows. The Daft Punk influenced dance duo have returned, with new single Second Chance. The infectious jam is a vocal track, one of those Digitalism rarities that brings my mind back to 2011’s Circles, still one of my all time favorites from them. Second Chance will be out officially October 21. The duo will also embark on a North American tour around the same time.

German electro house duo Digitalism released a really cool clip for their buoyant, earworm of an electropop anthem Wolves, which features indie pop band Youngblood Hawke on vocal duties. It’s a sugary, satisfying pop package that I’m uber fond of, plus there’s that super sick RAC remix of the tune, too, that many of you loved when I featured it some weeks ago.

Jump for joy! There’s yet another new RAC remix out for us to smile and bop to! This time, the always pleasing producer has put his dance pop spin on Digitalism’s Wolves, which features Youngblood Hawke. RAC x Digitalism + Youngblood Hawke? Yes, PLEASE! This is such a vibrant, fantastic track! I wonder if RAC will play this remix live in the Subsonic Tent this Sunday at BFD 2014!
