I love sweet juicy cherries, and I love hanging at the beach, so I couldn’t help but be drawn to Cherry Beach’s name even before I listened to their debut single. Once I heard the new Los Angeles duo’s first song, Gravity, I had to wonder… Could this sonic experience be better than cherries and beaches, combined? Cherry Beach fuses future bass, deep house, and electro-pop flawlessly on the song, giving us a gravity defying, brisk bounding confection whose limber beats, supple vocals, and melodious chorus are irresistibly contagious. Cherry Beach’s debut can be streamed/downloaded, here.

TENDER’s back in rapid fire heart tenderizing mode, dropping tracks off of forthcoming EP III due to arrive tomorrow, November 4th. The North London duo revealed a track named Oracle today. Though I’m no oracle myself, I’d predict from this sleek mesmeric gem that TENDER’s next EP is going to be just as passionately consuming as their prior two. Oracle is signature TENDER, a smooth rolling, sultry burning brew made up of R&B, funk, and indietronica. Oracle follows on lead single Design. You can stream the steamy swaggering, feverish strutting jam below. Pre-order EP III from iTunes, here.

Portland’s Grace Mitchell, though only 16 (unless she had a recent birthday), has impressed me beyond words with her first songs these past few months, demonstrating a mature confidence and some brilliant songwriting skills, all the while enamoring me with her vocals. There really should be a million times more buzz surrounding this young musician and her Broods meets Lorde like sound, but I’m absolutely sure the buzz she’s already garnered will grow exponentially over time. I’ve been eagerly awaiting new material from Grace, after Your Design and Broken Over You. My wishes have been answered. She’s back with new enchanting electronic pop song Runaway. It’s a new taste off her debut EP, out very soon. Design and Broken Over You (which has a Hippie Sabotage remix out) are still my top favorites out of the three terrific tunes. Let’s revisit.
