Another fantastic fresh duo on my radar is London electronic team Route 94. I was listening to their soundcloud this morning and my feet inadvertently started to swing and dance underneath my desk like mad. Every track I clicked on kept me going. Check out their remix of UK star Katy B’s 5 AM above. And keep the dance party going with some more awesome house and nu-disco tunes below, including their original UK house track My Love featuring Jess Glynne, who also graced Clean Bandit’s recent single Rather Be (which I absolutely adore).

New Cash Cash and remixes

August 9, 2013

For some much needed synth driven energy (for these long afternoons at work), check out this new remix by New York duo The Chainsmokers. Their remix of New Jersey electropop group’s Take Me Home which features Bebe Rexha on vocals is a dance ready extravaganza. The original edit of the tune is pretty dang good too, check out that one below the remix. It’s a very melodic EDM tune, and Bebe Rexha’s vocals are a nice delight. I can imagine a dance floor full of people jumping high to both versions. Cash Cash is new on my radar though they’ve been around since 2008. Apparently, they make some super fun dance tunes. For another good one, listen to their song Overtime below. Cash Cash also did a sick, raging electro house remix of Capital Cities’ Safe and Sound a few months back. Tacking that one on too. Dance party… GO!!!

OFFICIAL VID: Ra Ra Riot – Beta Love

January 31, 2013

I have Ra Ra Riot’s new album Beta Love sitting next to me in shrink wrap and can’t wait to finally get around to unwrapping the disc and popping it in. The dance poppy title track from the album is infectious and fun. Its new video brings back footage from the 1980s television show Dance Party. That’s pretty freaking cool. It’s a local San Francisco Bay Area show. I can’t say I really watched it while a child, but I do remember it being on TV.
