While I’m at it, I’ll also share UK drum and bass act Rudimental’s 26 minute long Live Loung DJ Set they did for BBC Radio 1 on February 24th. They’ve uploaded it onto soundcloud for us all to enjoy. These guys are tearing up the scene with their awesome tracks. I realized the other day why they’re so awesome and why I’m drawn so much to their sound. They combine drum and bass with some kickass horns on their songs. Geezus. Too good. Anyway, those on this side of the pond, they’re invading shortly. I’ve got my tix. In the meantime, here’s their mix they threw together for Annie Mac on BBC Radio. And yes, it does include the omnipresent Harlem Shake, for better or for worse.

-Kidnap Kid – Animaux
-Rudimental – Hell Could Freeze (feat Angel Haze)
-Klangkarussell – Sonnetanz
-Todd Terje – Inspector Norse
-Rudimental – Feel The Love
-Baauer – Harlem Shake
-Marvin Gaye – Lets Get It On
-Damian Marley – Welcome To Jamrock
-Rudimental – Waiting All Night

Here’s another track I took my fair time today to share. I’m not superbly fond of it, but for those of you that are into Skrillex and into Damien Marley’s signature, laid back reggae, this is an epic collaboration titled Make It Bun Dem. It’s not the best work from either of them individually, but it’s a pretty cool mix up of their sounds. It’s not a far fetch to mix reggae and wobbles & drops, since the resulting sound is actually similar to some of what is now called “moombahton”. The collaboration has certainly grown on me since I first listened to it this morning.
