The crème de la crème of the Norwegian electronic music scene come together on Control, a new single from Lemaitre featuring Jerry Folk. Control carries the hallmarks of both these esteemed acts in its suave, slinky swagger and its glitzy swinging future funk vibes. The single is part of a series of collaborations this year that Lemaitre is in the midst of releasing involving other Norwegian luminaries like Coucheron, William Larsen, and Bearson. Dutch duo Full Crate x Mar have proven themselves a spectacular union with their music in the past, and they’ve just released their new collaborative EP, A Woman. New single Control, which features iLL BLU, has also received a dusky entrancing music video treatment, affording us the perfect chance to enter the inky seductive, foggy aching electronic soundscape that permeates the R&B pop song. The sensually arresting song reminds me of Autre Ne Veut, infused with the murky, vaporous allure of early How To Dress Well. You can stream Full Crate x Mar’s new A Woman EP in full on Soundcloud, here. Support on Apple, here.

I hope you haven’t been missing out on this high voltage anthem, but even if you did let it slip by you in the weeks it’s been out and about, Control’s recent music video will reel you right in to its enrapturing heat. The song comes from hotly tipped indie rock newcomers Twin Wild, who’ve already created quite a buzz with their debut EP My Heart. Control is a vigorous chugging, brawny blazing, and gritty snarling jam produced by Adam Noble (Nothing But Thieves, Placebo, Deaf Havana). Its electrifying video arrives while the band from London is in the midst of a headlining UK tour. Stream/download links for Control can be found, here.

Tigercub, a hotly tipped Brighton alt-noise-pop trio, announced their brand new single Control this week. The elaborately stippled brooder comes from the band’s critically acclaimed album Abstract Figures In The Dark, out now on Alcopop! Records. Control is an abstract figure itself, a shifting pattern of resounding drums, heady arpeggios, and lurching guitar. Tigercub takes us on a windswept whirling ride with the rocking song. Tigercub’s alblum Abstract Figures In The Dark can be ordered, here. They’ll be touring through the UK and into Europe through late February.

The moment I heard guttural and visceral spellbinder Control, my ears perked straight up and I fidgeted with endless excitement in my seat. This experimental electronic debut comes from a Sydney project named Leftenent, the brainchild of producer Antonia Gauci. Her haunting post electronic soundscape and gossamer enchanting vocals are stunning. Control’s shadowy elegance and opaque entrancing production keeps me riveted, as if under Leftenent’s control, from start to finish. If there’s any new producer from Australia I’d name as one to watch from but one debut single, it’s Leftenent. I can’t wait to hear what else she has in store for us.

To say that I’m excited for Hazel English’s debut EP would be an enormous understatement. The Oakland based Australian native melts my heart every time with her sweet nostalgic, lustrous jangling indie pop. Never Going Home will be the perfect present for both my ears and my heart when it arrives on my birthday, October 7th. Never Going Home, which was produced by fellow Bay Area indie buzz talent Day Wave, will feature a dreamy gliding, restless whirling gem named Control. Control comes with a music video which seems to contrast the glumness of mundane life with the rejuvenating freedom that comes from the wide expanse of an open desert. As always, Control is a heart warming, if not heart liberating, delight. Hazel English’s debut EP can be pre-ordered on limited edition 12″ vinyl, here.

If you’re a devout follower of the blog, then you probably know about my love for Operators, a project created by Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Handsome Furs, Divine Fits) and Sam Brown (New Bomb Turks). Operators released a new album named Blue Wave earlier this year on Last Gang Records. I couldn’t get enough of the vivacious fusion of new wave, synthpop, and brooding post-punk found within that album. Get ready to move your body as we dive into newly announced album single Control. The track is one of the danciest jams off the album, a full blown electrifying shock of analog buzzing, icy rocking splendor. Control drops as a single on Last Gang come October 7th.

Absolutely digging this Gigamesh track ‘Control’ featuring Caroline Smith. It’s a reimagined pop tune by Janet Jackson of the same title. What a delicious track from these Minnesota natives. I can’t wait to catch them at Audio SF April 9th with Solidisco. That night’s going to be groovy.

Innovative new London artist DRELLER sends a rush of blood to my head with the complex construction and dizzying animation of Control, his second single. Its accompanying music video is equally spectacular, its fanciful visuals and riveting patterns complimentary to Control’s vibrant, unpredictable blend of lurching funk, woozy pop, and slick electro soul. Control’s jangling jaunt evokes Dan Croll, but blended with the sleekness of Hot Chip’s synthpop and the robust grandeur of Bloc Party’s earlier, more spirited offerings. Control is a striking glimpse into the world of multi-instrumentalist, animator, and film maker DRELLER. Purchase Control on iTunes.

It’s bisous all around as LA’s Kisses returns with a sweetly entrancing dance pop tune named Control. Control glows with a neon 80′s groove. It’s a muggy synthpop jam with caressing, whispering high hats. Its sultry horns and softly snapping beat takes me to South Beach, Miami Vice style. Control is the first new track revealed from Kisses’ new album, Rest In Paradise, due out October 9th on Hit City U.S.A.
