“Confessing” normally seems like a rather painful thing to have to do. I mean, who likes to say they’ve been wrong and accept guilt? But trust me, you’re going to want to “confess” your love over and over again for this fine tune, and you’ll enjoy doing it too. Singaporean producer MYRNE, who last gave us a cutting edge collaboration with fellow countryman Gentle Bones several weeks ago, is back with a regal marching, dramatic rousing oeuvre named Confessions. Its electrifying future trap and melodic bass features captivating vocals by singer/actress Cozi Zuehlsdorff, as well as triumphantly brassy flourishes. The theatrically gripping, grandly riveting track is out now on Monstercat. Find Confessoins on all major platforms, here.

I’m kind of sad I had to miss that concerted Prince radio station tribute earlier this week, when countless stations played Nothing Compares 2 U at 6:07pm Eastern, exactly seven hours 13 days after his passing. It’s obvious this man’s incredible influence and starpower will continue to reverberate and shine through the rest of us for an eternity. In the meantime, Nothing Compares 2 U has been covered by mysterious electronic act Confessions, who formerly gave us an incredible rendition of Smashing Pumpkins’ Today. Their heartfelt cover of Nothing Compares 2 U is cascading magnificent, a sincere and passionate proclamation of how much Confessions misses the great purple one, which aligns with my sentiments exactly, and yours too, I bet. Confessions nearly brings tears to my eyes, engulfing me in their beautiful and resplendent, majestic and sweeping cover. Download the track for free, here.

The Smashing Pumpkin’s Today is undeniably a classic hit, but I bet you’ve never heard Today in quite this way. A mysteriously electronic act named Confessions has offered up a cover of Today that transforms it from alt rock into uplifting and bright chill house. And oddly enough, it’s wonderfully addicting, leaving me in glowing bliss. This song has never been more hopeful.
