SONIA’s a name I highly suggest you remember, but even if you’re bad with names, I’m sure you’re going to hear this one a whole lot as the year continues to progress. The Parisian singer is in the midst of performing at Coachella with Petit Biscuit, having featured on the esteemed producer’s song Creation Comes Alive. She’s also just released a massive new single named OCEAN, whose guitar florid, drum thundering pop explodes with relentless confidence. SONIA takes us on a journey of tenacious and gutsy grandeur with her glorious anthem. I’m sure it won’t be long before she’ll be performing at Coachella with her own set. I can already envision how magnificent OCEAN will be live. You can also stream OCEAN via Spotify, here.

Los Angeles based producer, singer, and multi-media talent Xie continues to her trajectory as a female trailblazer in the scene with DRIP, her most pop/R&B leaning release to date. It’s a steamy inferno embroiled in turbulent trap pop and brimming with incendiary drops, as well as Xie’s own scorching hot, sultry burning vocals. And it arrives just as the rising star is preparing to make her Coachella debut this weekend, too. I won’t be there, but fellow IHM writer Nick will be, and I’m insanely jealous that he might get to catch DRIP live. Trap has never been more sexy and fierce.

Man, I’ve seen Foster The People at my first Coachella, Big Gigantic last year, but I need me some The Knocks at Coachella soon. Anyways, New York’s finest production duo released a remix package of their of fire track Ride or Die and Big Gigantic didn’t fail in bringing the heat. I can’t even finish writing about this inferno since the heat has my fingertips rising off the keyboard in an attempt to fan the flames.

I know Coachella is coming up on us fast. Perhaps that’s why there’s been a sudden influx of songs that have Coachella in their title. Either way, there’s no doubt this new project, NEW CITY, is a new must. The pop trio arrive out of Toronto with molten simmering confidence on Coachella, their sultry burning debut single. Its dark electro pop and sticky alt R&B set a more than sexy tone. NEW CITY’s single is the perfect late night anthem for when you return to camp after the headliners close out the festival stages at Coachella. Watch the music video for Coachella below.

Whimsical debut for West Sussex’s indielectronica quartet Chenti. They released their self-titled EP less than a week ago and the track that sticks out to me is ‘What You Need’. It reminds of me of groups like Foals or Bombay Bicycle Club, which instantly teleports me to The Polo Fields and those good Coachella vibes.

Hop on board the cosmic love submarine to Lizzy Land and enjoy the ‘Sweet Melodies’ of her indie pop tune. It’s a sweet debut from the LA songstress who sings about being stuck in a daze. Ironic that there’s this transference of energy because I’m left in a daze imagining this song warm up my ears on The Polo Field at Coachella.

If you watched the cinematic trailer Coachella released earlier this month to advertise their live stream of the festival, then you’ve already received a much blissful preview of 23. But that little appetizer is nothing compared to experience Robokid’s masterpiece in full, something we’re fortunate enough to be able to do now that the Moving Castle collective co-founder and East Coast production wizard has gifted us a full stream of the song. 23 is an instrumental beauty, its light airiness building up to epic peaks of cathartic enlightenment. Dreamy ethereal yet profoundly meditative 23 alleviates some of the FOMO I’ve been experiencing here at home while others have been enjoying Coachella. I close my eyes, and Robokid takes me on a magnificent journey across the deserts and valleys hidden within my own mind and soul. Watch the aforementioned Coachella live stream trailer soundtracked by 23 below.

From a song entitled 2AM in my last feature, we fast forward the hands of time and move on to a song named Six AM (quite coincidentally, at that). Los Angeles and Miami based duo Pantyraid deliver lascivious and salacious electronica on the new song which features vocals by Bobby Saint. Six AM is a new reveal from Pantyraid’s forthcoming album Afterglow, out April 29th and available for pre-ordering from various outlets, here. The production duo have concocted a future house styled electronic slow burner full of torrid heat. Bobby Saint’s R&B crooning adds to the intensity of the song. Pantyraid is performing today on The Do LaB stage at Coachella, and hitting up a string of locales through the rest of spring and into summer around the nation. I’d imagine Six AM the perfect fiery groover under the hot Southern California sun.

It’s doubtful I’ll be making my way out to Coachella this year, so I’m really looking forward to April 26th, when ZHU finally plays the Bay Area at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. It’ll be the first time I finally catch the prolific producer live, after being such a devout fan since the days he dropped that Outkast mashup cover anonymously what feels like eons ago. Those that will be attending Coachella might have something very special to look forward to. Kaskade and ZHU have collaborated on a new version of his single In The Morning, giving us a serene and awe-inspiring re-work of the track much luscious smooth and deeply entrancing. The beautiful remix premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, and its available for purchase already from iTunes.

Coachella Artists To Watch Lido still “got songs”. Witness his insanely fabulous new tune, Crazy, via its new music video. His self directorial debut was all done in one take… No special effects, no editing, all live performance. I absolutely love this track, and its orchestrated visuals take it to another level. It’s genius but we’ve also seen Lido perform with KORK for a live orchestrated performance of “I Love You”. Lido’s Crazy samples Los Angeles indie pop darlings POWERS’ Money, too! Don’t miss him at Coachella!
