Let’s continue our Monday afternoon dalliance with fine cover gems by taking a youthful frolic with this modern take on Pussycat Dolls 2000′s hit classic Stickwitu. LA based producer Jynjo, who’s already graced IHM with his music a number of times this past year, gives Stickwitu a contemporary future beats twist by injecting it with effervescent electronic beats and crystalline vocals turned in by fellow Los Angeles artist Aubrey Wood. The doe-eyed future pop crush song captures all the butterflies and heart flutters that we associate with young love. Rising producer Jynjo is currently taking a break from live performances and concentrating on creating unique music for his fans. Some exciting collaborations are lined up, too. For now, you can stream/download Stickwitu, here.

As if we aren’t already all hopped up on the beats we’ve been dropping tonight, we find ourselves more hyped up than ever due to Machinedrum’s whimsical new masterpiece, Hyped Up. If you’ve been missing Wave Racer (yes, I’ve been wondering what happened to him) and you love Basenji, you’re going to adore the direction esteemed producer Machinedrum has gone on his new track. Neon nostalgia and a mischievous spirit coats the youthful cavorting piece. Hyped Up is available, here.

I had to look up what ‘alprazolam’ is after the utter inebriation artsea brought us on his track. It’s obvious its a pharmaceutical, but I learned from my ‘expert’ google skills that it’s a minor tranquilizer. The name seems fitting for this Brisbane producer’s nebulous future beats dazzler… We find ourselves extensively hypnotized, yet alprazolam is in no way soporific. Instead, it takes us into a murky, dusky wonderland with its watery beats and soft whispers. artsea’s opulent future bass examines the culture of addiction. It delves into a surreal conscience that is in fact, all too real. In this daydream, the world around us seems to move in slow motion above us as we view it from under water, through the lens of rippling tides and reflective waves. You can download artsea’s intoxicating bedrom electronica masterpiece via Toneden, here.

At first glance, the name Jef Miles seems to imply a solo project, but this electronic endeavor involves two producers who moved from small Canadian towns to the big city of Vancouver. There does seem to be a wayfaring, soul-searching feel to the pair’s evocative new single, Wild Light, an exhilarating and cathartic future bass opus featuring heartrending vocals by fellow British Columbian musician Luca Fogale. Wild Light is a panoramic swooping beauty, a heart swelling, life-affirming anthem. Stream Wild Light on Spotify, here.

Because of you, Delusion, I find myself on cloud nine, breathless and euphoric. The German producer’s cinematic chill trap and expansive future bass on Because Of You is nothing short of triumphant and glorious. Australian siren Akacia, who’s lent her breathy, smoky voice to many an electronic track we love, joins Delusion on the beautifully contorting, lushly twisting anthem, a must for fans of Flume and What So Not. Delusion’s Because Of You is out now, stream/download, here.

I would say Louis The Child is on a roll these days with their new collaborations, but seriously, when is the Chicago production duo never on a roll? The Windy City electronic stars slayed last month with their hip hop leaning track, Shake Something, with Joey Purp. And now, they’ve united with Australian based Syrian-Iraqi songbird WAFIA on Better Not to give us a heartwarming future pop frolic that leaves our hearts feeling all warm and fuzzy. Dewy eyed, misty twinkling Better Not is the perfect spring time crush song, a sanguine stirring, beats skipping, smile-inducing sonnet to illuminate those lovestruck evenings. Life can’t get any better for an Elohim fan like me these days. I just caught her on tour at Slim’s in San Francisco the other weekend. She released Panic Attacks, a new song with Yoshi Flower, last month. And her effervescent voice graced The Glitch Mob’s life affirming I Could Be Anything earlier this month, too. And now, the Los Angeles based production, songwriting, and instrumental sensation (so sensational!) has appeared on a new single from Ekali and Medasin, too! They make the perfect trifecta on the gorgeous future pop and future trap aria. Its sparkling soundscape and Elohim’s enthralling voice give Forever a delicate vulnerability, a beautiful antithesis to Forever’s expansive, cosmic scope. We feel naked and comforted, defenseless and consoled, all at once, thanks to the nimble embrace of this gorgeous song. You can listen to Forever forever with us, support the single and stream/download, here.

What’s that, you say? A surpise new EP from Slow Magic? Yes, please! The masked enigma, a superb producer through and through, has shared a new four track release named EP on Downtown Records, just ahead of his Coachella weekend 2 performance tomorrow. Chilled out future bass, jagged drumwork, and molten vocals by New York’s TOULOUSE adorn EP track GO, our favorite out of AWAY’s four crisp melodic tracks. For some thorough intoxication, take an incandescent EP journey with Slow Magic on Soundcloud, here. Support via major platforms, here.

It’s a California affair as Los Angeles production prodigy Andrew Luce teams up with Oakland’s own Alexander Lewis on their new single, TAKE ME. NYC’s Jojee adds some East Coast flair to the pneumatic track too. Her lofty vocals are ever so captivating, interwoven into the fine threads of this melodic plinking, sleek simmering, and melodic winding tune. TAKE ME was meant to mimic the feeling when you slowly start to disconnect yourself from another person and can feel their weight being lifted off your shoulders. It’s out on Fool’s Gold now, and you can stream/download, here.
