New Zealand’s So Below never fails to bewitch me with her dark and gothy music. Ruin is Madeline North’s latest entrancing single, a shimmering, pulsating mass of visceral yet nimble driving electronic pop. She co-wrote the track with Bradley Hale of Now, Now and Sombear as well as singer songwriter Chelsea Jade. So Below explains of Ruin: “This song was written the day after I finished watching Stranger Things so it definitely has some teen angst and spooky vibes in there… basically it’s about trying to rely on someone who always ends up letting you down. It’s one of my favourite tracks to date.” You can purchase the single from iTunes, here.

We have Los Angeles starlet and gifted singer songwriter Luna Shadows to thank for keying us into this next cool rippling, crisp enchanting electronic pop aria. We’d previously encountered Chelsea Jade when we shared ATTLAS’ Blood Work, a song on which the Southern California by way of New Zealand artist turns in breathy ethereal vocals. We were so taken by Chelsea Jade that we immediately investigated her solo music, which was a fruitful and satisfying endeavor indeed. In spite of the spell she cast on us then, news of a fresh single evaded us, until now. Life Of The Party, despite its name, is a tranquil soothing yet poignant stirring glider, It engulfs us in a tender and meditative current of crystalline synths, smoky vocals, and effervescent beats. The beautiful ballad is out now via iTunes, here.
