We’re always thrilled and fast to hop on anything new Chappell Roan whenever the young rising starlet drops something fresh, whether its new visuals or a new song. We still can’t stop obsessing over the Missouri singer songwriter’s debut EP School Nights, partly due to the dark shadowy content of its bewitching pop, and largely due to Chappell Roan’s smoky, cindery voice which bears so much maturity and sophistication despite the artist’s young age. Chappell Roan recently released a music video for one of the track’s off that 5 song release. Take in her magnetism and charisma in the new accompaniment for Sugar High, a sweet and seductive, dusky and provocative gem. If you still haven’t listened to School Nights despite our constant attention, check it out on major platforms, here. Also make sure you listen to recent new song Bitter, which we featured, here.

19 year old singer songwriter Chappell Roan has been one of our favorite emerging pop artists since the arrival of her debut EP School Nights last year, and we’re rather crestfallen that we haven’t seen her name on any of the SXSW artist announcement lists. We’re still hoping there’s a chance she’ll be making her way out to Austin, because I’d love to take in her deep husky, sultry lulling voice live. The artist from Missouri kicks off the year with Bitter, a poignantly melancholic, gently aching, and hauntingly introspective ballad. I swear her voice seems to get better with every new song, despite how amazing it already was to begin with. Her enunciation and eloquence is unique and distinct, and it’s hard to find any other rising pop voice that rivals hers right now. We’re loving this gut-wrenching new single, and we look to the months ahead with endless excitement for this hypnotic and alluring rising star.

If you’ve been paying attention to IHM these past several months, then you probably know that Chappell Roan is one of our favorite emerging pop artists from 2017. The 19 year old artist from Missouri obviously has that special spark. Not only is her voice incredibly sophisticated and mature for her age, but her music is immensely bewitching and dramatically moving, in a dark seductive yet assured and incendiary manner. Last week, Chappell Roan released a music video for one of several exceptional tunes off her debut EP, School Nights. Watch as the charismatic siren belts out Die Young while she floats on the surface of a lake like the tragic figure Ophelia from Hamlet. Fall into the gravity of her deep sultry vocals yet again, which always remind me of a mix of Rae Morris and

Léon. Chappell Roan’s stellar School Nights EP is available, here.

19 year old Chappell Roan is one of our favorite new artists from 2017. The young Missouri artist and future pop star has a spectacular voice, as well as much sultry sophisticated allure. British producer Aevion gave Chappell Roan’s Good Hurt, lifted from her ace debut EP School Nights, a vibrant dance makeover. Aevion’s remix, out now on Atlantic Records, is a welcome approach on one of Chappell Roan’s most contagious and vivacious offerings. The springy leaping house remix will surely lift you up on this cold winter day, even if you’re dealing with bomb cyclones over on the east coast. The remix is available from iTunes, here.

19 year old Missouri singer songwriter Chappell Roan has quickly become one of my favorite emerging voices in the past week. Though we initially missed out on debut single Good Hurt, our encounter with her acoustic video for Bad For You has left us with an insatiable appetite for her exceptional voice and alluring magnetism. So when we saw a new acoustic video out yesterday for her song Meantime, we were nothing short of ecstatic. With the husky smokiness of  LÉON, the operatic range and elegance of London Grammar’s Hannah Reid, and the jazzy sophistication of Rae Morris, Chappell Roan fully transfixes us once again with a stunning performance in the video. Meantime is a soaring ballad and a heart wrenching aria. These songs are off of Chappell Roan’s excellent debut EP on Atlantic, School Nights, which can be streamed and downloaded, here. Re-visit her acoustic video for Bad For You below as well as her debut music video, Good Hurt.

There’s no possible way you won’t be utterly mesmerized once you dive into this stunning acoustic video from Chappell Roan, a 19 year old singer songwriter from Missouri. Her voice is sensational. It’s deep set and husky, yet pristine pure, and it emits such exquisite poignancy on her intoxicating pop aria, Bad For You. It’s a dark listen, not unlike a smokier version of London Grammar, dripping in melancholy but resonating with power. The grandiose gripping, superbly cinematic original, which you can stream below, comes off of her new EP. You can stream/purchase Chappell Roan’s School Nights EP, here.
