Last year, I was kind of obsessed with a song, Reverse, by Cleveland alternative act SomeKindaWonderful, who went on to drop their debut album months after. The versatile act also offered up a cover of California Love around that time, turning into a gritty and slinky alt number. New York based producer Chachi turned in a fresh remix of that cover, giving California Love heaps of cold blooded, steely future house and electro dramatics. It’s a banger well worthy of some California loving.

New Yorkers Paige and Chachi teamed up on a remix of 80′s Men At Work classic Land Down Under. As an 80′s baby, some of these old tunes really hit a soft spot in my heart. I haven’t listened to Land Down Under in ages, but I’m reminded of how much I love it, and other similar new wave Afrobeat laced songs of the 80′s (ie. Toto’s Africa). Paige and Chachi infuse the original with extra summery sound. It’s a buoyant house tune that stays true to the original’s irresistible melody while giving it extra bounce and a blissful tropical atmosphere.

New York based producer Chachi’s latest is a track that is thoroughly irresistible and thrilling. The energy level and catchiness of The Way I Are is undeniable, and it can enliven anyone’s day at any moment. Chachi takes Timbaland hit The Way I Are and gives it a huge future house update, one that’s deliciously sleek and deep. He’s breathed new life into the 8 year old jam.
