Let’s call it a night with one more sensational, spine tingling remix. Young San Francisco producer Andrew Luce has been wowing me with some mad remixes of songs by popular artists including 50 Cent and The Weeknd’s version of Drunk In Love. His latest specimen is Lana Del Rey’s sadcore ballad Carmen. He really turns up on the bass and the percolating, rolling synths, giving Carmen a whole new extra sassy trap makeover.

OFFICIAL VID: Lana Del Rey – Carmen

April 21, 2012

Hmm. I’m not sure whether I’m right to call this the “OFFICIAL VID”, as it’s more an LDR old school home made video, which is even better. There might be a glossy, well directed video coming out later on for Carmen, but I’m pretty sure I’ll love this self made vintage tragic video of clips far more. Carmen is another lovely track off her album Born 2 Die. As she often does in her homemade videos, she inserts other sounds and rearranges the song to enhance the impact and to match the chosen clips.
