[PREMIERE] The Knocks Ft Wyclef Jean – Kiss The Sky (Bahner Remix)

Not only is Cheerleader a fabulous indie rock & alt pop band who released an excellent debut album in 2015, but the quintet also counts Carl Bahner as one of their own. And, as you should have already realized by now, Carl happens to be quite the indie dance remix maestro. Fresh on the heels of last week’s spry intoxicating remix of Step Rockets’ West Coast comes Carl Bahner’s interpretation of The Knocks’ Kiss The Sky, featuring legendary hip hop artist Wyclef Jean. The original is a wildly hooking treat from The Knocks’ versatile and festive star studded debut album 55. This jubilant new Bahner remix capitalizes on the track’s pumping beats and rousing synths, amplifying them with much electro sleek verve. The vibrant glossy remix sparkles with ebullience. It’s a must for your summer dance playlist.

Carl Bahner is up to his glorious remix tricks once again. The remixer and drummer from Phildaelphia indie pop band Cheerleader has been steadily offering up a stream of indie dance remixes that I’ve been more than happy to gobble up joyously. Bahner’s latest edit is a remix of NYC synthpoppers Panama Wedding’s A Brand New Life. The song goes neon sleek and buoyantly lighthearted on Carl Bahner’s remix, a more than welcome infusion of heartwarming RAC meets Viceroy ebullience just when I need it the most.
