Calvin Harris just dropped that massive new album of his, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, which features a jaw dropping array of superstar guest talent. Among its many fabulous summer jams is a track that features Toronto’s Jessie Reyez, whom I just caught for the second time in my life last Thursday at Popscene. She was just as electrifying a performer and talented a musician as the first time I saw her at SXSW. And she’s such a natural on stage. If there’s any one blossoming artist I’d pick as a future star this year, it would be Jessie Reyez. She offers up soulful R&B vocals on Calvin Harris’ Hard To Love. The effect is sweet and gooey. It’s a softer side of fierce firecracker Jessie Reyez, and a swift reminder of her versatility and dexterity. Calvin Harris’ production does the same for him as well, as he ventures into mellow waters with the chill grooving, funky smooth track. New album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 can be purchased, here.

Droopy seductive late night vibes envelop us on I Might. The succulent bouncing future R&B jam comes from Pasadena’s esta., who’s turned Calvin Harris’ I Might featuring Frank Ocean & Migos on its head. The Soulection producer has given the track a choppy luxuriant, sexy churning makeover. He states that he did the edit for fun. esta. has a plethora of stellar groovers on his Soundcloud, here. He’s also produced for Alina Baraz in the past.

We get to re-visit Calvin Harris’ 2014 hit with Ellie Goulding, Outside, thanks to a producer out of sunny California named Tokii. He gives the song an aerial sweeping, cinematic stirring flip that feels like it was lifted right out of an epic film. It may be another foggy cold day in the Bay, but this progressive house remix illuminates my morning, soaking everything in beauty and uplifting optimism. Tokii’s Outside flip is a free download, here.

Cover mashups don’t always work out. Sometimes, they come off far too contrived and forced in an attempt to be cool without being innovative. Sweden’s Violet Days prove themselves brilliant on their riveting mashup which weds Michael Jackson classic Dirty Diana with Calvin Harris & Rihanna’s This Is What You Came For. The much surprising pairing is nothing short of spectacular, a grandly soaring, regal thrumming epic delivered with potent efficacy. I could listen to this fierce combination all day long, and I’ll feel empowered, ready to take on the world.

There sure is a lot of gossip and controversy surrounding Calvin Harris and his love life these days, but really, that’s not why I pay heed to the world dominating producer. His Rihanna featuring hit This Is What You Came For gets a sharp jouncing, adrenaline pumping future house remix, courtesy of Swiss producer Cantaffa, and it reminds me what’s truly important: the music. Everything else is just background noise. Cantaffa’s remix is dark and carnal, thrilling and electrifying. It’s the soundtrack for a night of sweaty dancing, shoulder to shoulder with like minded people who don’t spend their time reading the gossip columns. This is what you came for. Cantaffa’s hard hitting, wild storming remix is a free download, here.

Kap Slap may be busy on tour through the end of May (tour info, here), but the producer from Southern California has taken the time to craft a mighty fine, very sophisticated mashup. Taylor Needs Calvin’s Rozes & Love is what you might call tongue in cheek, considering its playful reference to Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris’ romance. All jesting aside, Kap Slap has put together one blissed out future beats cocktail made up of Calvin Harris’ I Need Your Love, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud, Manila Killa’s All That’s Left, The Chainsmokers’  Roses, and Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, among possibly more snippets of top hits. Many of happen to be on my favorites list, so I’m quite happy with hearing them all mashed together into one ebulliently springy treat.  Download Taylor Needs Calvin’s Rozes & Love for free, here.

San Francisco’s own T-Mass links up with mysterious Ellusive on a jaw dropping remix of Calvin Harris and Disciples colossal hit How Deep Is Your Love, taking me to new highs on this lovely Wednesday night. Chill trap oscillations and regal future bass make this a monster of a tune. This love is deeper than the ocean, shaking the very earth to its molten core. Download the remix for free, here.

I really like UK artist and production duo The Code’s name. There’s just something so cool and suave about it, “The Code”. I’m also ever mesmerized by their sleek and bouncing sound, a textured Kaytranada electronica meets salacious The Weeknd R&B electronic synthesis. They demonstrate that steamy appeal on their latest, a rendition of Calvin Harris & Disciples’ hit, How Deep Is Your Love. To answer that question: deep. Very deep. Download HDIYL direct from The Code’s Soundcloud.

Yes, I know this is my second Dillon Francis related share in as many hours, but there really are some phenomenal, fabulous collaborative treats off the producer’s brand new mixtape. This time around, Dillon teams up with world conquering producer Calvin Harris on What’s Your Name, an earth shaking moombahton anthem that pairs Calvin Harris’ more melodic tendencies with Dillon Francis’ cosmically wild bass music.Get ready for a brain jiggling experience.
