Clear across the Pacific we go for this stunning debut from a New Zealander named Siobhan Sainte. If she is in fact a saint (yes, a play on words, bear with me), she’d surely be the patron saint of pop considering the smoky sizzling, breathy pulsing magnificence of Burn It Down. The song’s left field pop is certainly unique and not like much else we’ve heard lately. A touch of BANKS like R&B pop and some of Lorde’s early dark bewitchment endow its snappy strikes and thumping biffs, yet there are also moments of pure grace and a whole lot of sultry elegance to be found on the track. It’s no wonder this hotly tipped 21 year old singer songwriter and full on siren is already turning heads with this one song.

New Linkin Park

April 16, 2012

Burn It Down is the new song from Linkin Park that marks the beginning of a flurry of activity for a new album coming out in June. The new album will be titled Living Things, and you can already preorder it here. Stream the new track below. What do you think? It’s definitely a very Linkin Park traditional sounding song with Chester Bennington tearing up the vocals as always. I’m hoping the new album will be an improvement on their last couple, but I still love listening to them regardless.
