An inundation of raw searing alt rock comes at us strong off of Less, a new single from Brixton based Bryde. Less certainly seems to be “more” in this case as Bryde douses us with feral burning rock redolent of Wolf Alice, The Joy Formidable, or the many 90′s bands that likely influenced all of these projects. There’s plenty of grit and grunge to go around as Bryde entrances us with her wired vocals and a tidal wave of rough chugging, crunchy snarling guitar. Less is wild and untamed, a primal deliverance from a scintillating rising talent. You can also stream Bryde’s excellent prior EPs on Soundcloud.

It’s impossible not to take notice when a singer songwriter emits such sheer and raw emotive power. Brixton’s Bryde pierced our souls with her song Help Yourself earlier this year, and she now proceeds to do the same with new single “Wouldn’t That Make You Feel Good?”, a scorching inferno of windswept alt rock from her just released second EP. This bristling untamed song takes us soaring over barren meadows and rocky hills. It poignantly ruffles our hearts and ruefully cuts to the bone. We’re left branded by Bryde’s wild impassioned voice and her bluesy weathered, vehement howling rock. Bryde’s critically acclaimed EP2 can be purchased both digitally and on vinyl or CD from Bandcamp.

Bryde is a new singer songwriter out of Brixton whose music is a must listen, especially if you’re fond of Daughter and Wolf Alice. New song Help Yourself is a raw yet beautiful indie rock ballad, its ethereal guitar and Bryde’s powerful voice a striking combination. The scintillating song manages to intoxicate with both ashen smokiness and a piquant sharpness, its passion overflowing contagiously. Help Yourself is Bryde’s second track off a forthcoming EP.
