We’re breaking protocol today by kicking it off with this ridiculously good remix of some Justice. I’ve been bumping Boys Noize’s edit of Justice’s Randy from their 2016 album Woman since I stumbled upon it yesterday. It’s a bass propulsive, tech jouncing treatment that stays true to Justice’s French house roots. It’s but one of many sensational tunes Ed Banger has been dropping lately in preparation for the arrival of their new compilation Ed Rec 100, which marks the esteemed label’s 100th release. For more delicious treats from the likes of Breakbot, Cassius, and more, head to their Youtube channel, here. You can pre-order Ed Rec 100 or purchase its singles ahead of Friday release day at iTunes, here.

Long time venerated Australian producer Cassian dropped a wicked jam before the end of 2016 as a thank you to fans, and I can’t help but shuffle my feet endlessly all across the room to the song. Don’t Go is a deep disco homage to Puzique hit Don’t Go, a song Cassian regards as one of his favorites of all time. Those of you who’ve had the pleasure of dancing the night away to Cassian may recognize this ode from his sets. We now get to dance to our heart’s content at home, too. The world around me fades away as Cassian’s sprightly chords and juicy ravishing sampling of Puzique casts a star spangled spell over me.

Berlin production mainstay Boys Noize is preparing to drop his fourth full length, Mayday, on May 20th via his own BOYSNOIZE label. He’s also revealed a song I was greatly looking forward to ever since I caught wind of this collaboration. Starchild features vocals by POLIÇA’s Channy Leanaugh,. Hearing her on a new tune is a very welcome extra dose of her smoky vocals after blasting POLIÇA’s new album United Crushers daily since its release. Starchild ripples and sparkles softly, its hypnotic percussion and dynamic atmosphere a bed of textured magnificence for Channy’s voice. Starchild is surprisingly ambient and abstract, a sensational taste from Boys Noize’s new album. Pre-order the producer’s new album Mayday from iTunes.

100 is the first of two collaborations between Berlin’s Boys Noize and Canadian producer Tiga. The wicked track, which premiered recently on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, is a slithering tech house groover with mounds of dirty underground vibes. If Disclosure went techno, we might get a filthy track like this. Their second collaboration, 808 IRAQ, will be revealed soon, and I can’t wait after the hypnotic, shadowy beats of 100. 100 will be out on Turbo Recordings come June 22nd.

From France comes a producer named Madame, aka Louis Roche, and he throws down some wicked bass and techno oriented beats with his music. Having turned many heads with his heavy hitting EDM tracks, Madame will be releasing an EP on Boys Noize Records. Stream the first track, Shuffle, above. There’s an off kilter, ominous effect to the song that’s entrancing and thrilling, all at the same time. For some reason, I feel quite anxious and antsy after listening to Madame’s productions. It’s rather disconcerting in a raw but amusing way, likely exactly what I need right now, after a long day. For another super sick and heady tune from Madame, stream Glorosia below.

Starting off with some beautiful, super chill music, but I’ll have you dancing and pumped up for the weekend by the end of today’s session, I promise! German electronic producer Boys Noize has teamed up again with Canadian musician and rapper Chilly Gonzales on a new project called Octave Minds. They’ll be putting out an album in September, but today, they’ve unveiled lead single In Silence, a surprisingly dreamy, downtempo, and ambient song. It’s quite the foggy electronic tune.

Check out Berlin producer Boys Noize’s take on Chromeo’s fantastic, funky new tune Sexy Socialite. I’m salivating for more new Chromeo after Sexy Socialite and Over The Shoulder have been previewed off of their coming new album, but a good remix could hold me over for now. The Boys Noize remix throws the track into more of a future bass x funky trap x electro house realm. It’s pretty sick. Revisit the super fun original below.

Producer Boys Noize’s new “909 x 303 Disco Acid House” track Starwin is garnering quite a bit of attention, with many people considering it a perfect summer anthem. There’s no doubt it’s a sick track, and it seems many might prefer this over Daft Punk’s RAM. I disagree, that and this are two very different animals. But I guess people have different expectations. RAM was exactly what I expected. You can enjoy both RAM and Boys Noize, folks, it’s alright! Really! I scrolled through some of the comments on the track earlier, and I don’t get the people complaining about the acid aspects of the track. Some say it ruined Starwin. Are you kidding me? The acid makes the track! OK, maybe not “makes” it, but is absolutely essential to how good it is! Anyway, dissent is healthy. Listen to Starwin. And enjoy it. I did. Multiple times.
