Ahh, a magical live performance moment to share… I always love these. Baroque poppers Ra Ra Riot will be dropping their brand new album Beta Love on January 22 via Barsuk. With that coming up quickly, the fellas decided to do a special performance of Beta Love last track I Shut Off for Bowery Presents. Enjoy. I did.

New Local Natives from NYC

November 30, 2012

Local Natives’ new single Breakers has been garnering a lot of love. I can’t wait for their sophomore album early next year. The other night, the fellas performed at the Bowery Ballroom. Of course, they debuted several more of their lush chamber pop/psych rock tunes live. Here’s some semi-decent fan footage of the new songs.

And just for heck of it, here’s the official video for lead single Breakers again. Such good stuff…

Breathtaking

November 27, 2012

School of Seven Bells performed their gorgeous song Scavenger off album Ghostory for Bowery Presents. In a shop full of mannequins. But instead of totally creeping me out, I found myself mesmerized and stunned. It’s almost the perfect setting for their performance. Mannequins. Who’da thunk?

Two Door Cinema Club from Brooklyn

October 1, 2012

I caught parts of this Bowery Presents stream live the other night. Two Door Cinema Club killed it with an over one hour set from the Music Hall of Williamsburg. Their new LP Beacon is a heckuva sophomore album, and though I wasn’t planning on hitting up their show on this particular tour, I’m really wondering if I should shift things around for it. I was multitasking when the live stream began the other night, but a couple of songs in, they played Undercover Martyn and I had to throw down what I was doing and get into it. Here’s the full set available for all to stream on youtube:

Bloc Party: Live From Terminal 5

August 30, 2012

I failed to catch this streaming live despite being a huge Bloc Party fan, so what better way to make up for that then have a playlist to stream after the fact? Thanks, Bowery Presents! Enjoy their 8 song set below filled with some oldies and some new goodies!

Yeasayer on Bowery Presents

August 23, 2012

I’ll add on one more live performance film recording to titillate your ears for now. Here’s Yeasayer on Bowery Presents from the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The clip is from their live webcast on August 15th, which I posted a link and reminder to on the I Heart Moosiq Facebook page. I know you rabid Yeasayer fans are out there, I don’t think I have to say too much about the performance. 😉
