San Francisco Bonobo fans (and there are so many of us here) are stoked they get to catch the esteemed and celebrated British producer throw down a DJ set this Saturday at The Midway. I’m guessing it’s more than likely that Simon Green will drop on his transcendental new collaboration with fellow Brit, George FitzGerald. When he does, the crowd is going to collectively melt to Outgrown’s beautifully spiraling, halcyon spinning ambient electronica, so gently saturated with soft garage beats. Outgrown is an emotionally stirring, delicately embroidered new taste from George FitzGerald’s highly anticipated full length, All That Must Be, out on March 9th. Pre-order the album, here.

It goes without saying that a Bonobo remix of one of the Gorillaz’s brilliant new tunes is in itself a brilliant feat. The esteemed British producer gives Andromeda the signature Bonobo treatment, creating an ambient soundscape full of trickling beats and ethereal chimes. Step into Bonobo’s dusky dreamscape, where Damon Albarn serenades us with a feathery soft voice. Take this one to a smoke filled lounge and dance the night away in bliss. Perhaps I’ll get to hear Bonobo’s Andromeda remix live when he plays the Fox Oakland later this week. Stream or download the track from alternate sources, here.

I could die happy now that Bonobo and Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker) have come together on one spectacular song, a mesmeric spread of downtempo electronica named No Reason. Bonobo’s shadowy flickering, gossamer entangling production is augmented by Nick Murphy’s sandy simmering crooning. We’re treated to seven and a half minutes of bundling bliss on this new taste from Bonobo’s highly anticipated new album, Migration. The guest talent studded affair will be out this Friday, January 13th. Pre-order, here.

If there’s anything that can truly transport you to cloud nine, it’s a collaboration between Los Angeles based electronic genius Bonobo and fleecy luxuriant Rhye. No, you’re not dreaming. Rhye’s Milosh has really lent his satin chic vocals to a fresh new Bonobo track. Break Apart, our latest taster from Bonobo’s forthcoming album Migration, is a vaporous hovering, organic entrancing work of art. I find myself drifting into oblivion to the cottony sensuous tune. Break Apart pulls gently on my heart, digging tenderly into its core. Break Apart is the epitome of sublime, a dulcet melting, supple seductive enchanter. Bonobo’s sure to be divine new album Migration is due out on January 13th on Ninja Tune. Pre-order, here.

It’s a rare occasion that we get a new track from Bonobo, and it’s such a treat whenever we do. Just listen to the acclaimed British producer’s spectacular remix of George FitzGerald’s Full Circle, featuring Boxed In. Get ready for some goosebumps and some spine tingling shivers as Bonobo takes us on one of his magical journeys. Full Circle adopts a profoundly meditative depth on the beautiful edit, submerged in introspectively shadowy atmosphere and instilled with heart string tugging, ruminative guitar. No word yet on whether the stunning remix will get a release soon. I sure hope so.

The genius of a British producer known as Bonobo has remixed London Grammar’s stunning song Hey Now, and it’s a helluva hypnotizing, textured listen, as expected. Can you expect anything less from Simon Green? The trip hoppy experimental approach on the remix is a very fresh take on the song that first launched London Grammar onto the map for many of us fans. Speaking of which, guess who gets to see London Grammar for the second time ever next week? Me me me! I can’t wait.

Moving into deep house territory with this remix of electronic producer Bonobo’s First Fires feat. Grey Reverend by fellow Brit producer Maya Jane Coles. The original was off of Bonobo’s formidable album The North Borders, which is likely one of the best electronic albums of this year. MJC demonstrates her usual expertise, transforming the track with deep, hypnotizing 4/4 beats. The end result is gritty and ready for a late night on the club floor. Original below, in case you feel like listening to it. I do.
