We were much enthralled with Blushh when the Los Angeles based indie outfit appeared earlier this year with a debut EP named It’s Fine, whose five lo-fi indie rock and punky pop tracks truly are fine, if not thoroughly charming and infectiously winsome. Blushh’s youthful & scuzzy tunes recall the likes of Diet Cig, Charly Bliss, and many other bands we love. We’ve since realized that we completely missed out on a split EP Blushh put out with Maddie Ross last month. Fortunately for us, a new video’s out for ‘Pink Shirt!’, one of two tracks Shabnam Ferdowsi and her band contributed to the EP, and it’s helped to key us into the split four track release, which you can stream in full on Soundcloud, here. We join Shab as she rocks out in an intimate space in the video for ‘Pink Shirt!’, and we can’t help but tap our feet and nod our heads compulsively to the crunchy bopping tune, too. The Split EP can also be streamed or purchased from Bandcamp, here.

The members of new Los Angeles outfit Blushh sure aren’t pulling any punches when it comes to their scuzzy enthralling guitar pop and indie rock. It’s been but a month since they gave us debut single I Don’t Want To Leave, and here they are already with a whole EP of fine tunes. The quartet, lead by Shab Ferdowsi, who’s joined by Fever Charm members Arieh Berl and Yianni Anastos-Prastacos as well as Kid Cadaver’s Kenzo Cardenas, is quickly turning ears and lighting up tastemakers’ eyes with their raw emotive, lo-fi melodious jams. Of the five track debut, our current favorite (key word: current) is There For You, a fuzzy bopping, angsty spirited anthem that falls somewhere between Vagabon’s candid indie rock and Diet Cig’s sweetly biting garage punk. You can stream Blushh’s debut EP It’s Fine on Soundcloud, here.

There’s been a revival of sorts these days when it comes to crunchy, scuzzy guitar pop of the humble and unpretentious kind, and Los Angeles’ Blushh may be your favorite new band in that arena. The four piece band just finished making their first EP, and they expertly dishes out plenty of endearing noise pop and lo-fi guitar pop on first single I Don’t Wanna Leave. Blushh, fronted by Shab Ferdowsi, takes us on an angsty spirited, youthful carousing trip down nostalgia lane with their single. Blushh’s debut EP It’s Fine will be arriving in June.
