I know this new Beach House has been out for a moment, but the more I listen to Black Car, the more I find myself bewitched by its mind melding beauty. Black Car is a song deeply entrenched in hypnotic whirring rumination. It’s as ambient and atmospheric a cut as we’ve heard from Beach House in recent months. The Baltimore dream pop and indie rock darlings pull me into a deep reverie with their latest taste from their forthcoming album 7. The gazey thrumming, pensive brooding single adds to my great excitement for 7, which arrives this Friday, and which I’ve already pre-ordered forever ago. If you haven’t pre-ordered yet, you can find links to do so, here.

Here’s some fantastic news for long time Leon Else fans like me: the British singer songwriter, musician, and dancer has signed to Interscope Records, and he’s debuted his first new music with the label in the form of Black Car. This new single come with a gripping music video, too. Black Car is a finger snapping soulful alt affair, a bold simmering, bluesy snarling display of edgy artistry delivered with much smoldering magnetism. Leon Else’s inspirations, including David Bowie, Prince, and Queen, are on resolute display. The artist stars in Black Car’s eerie surreal film noir alongside actress/model Suki Waterhouse (The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Pride and Prejudice, Zombies). Black Car can be purchased now from iTunes.
