I’m more than OK tonight, despite it being the end of the weekend and the start of a new stressful and busy week, thanks to the dulcet bliss and saccharine felicity that Moving Castle production big wigs Manila Killa and AOBeats have blessed us with. They’ve teamed up with Los Angeles vocalist Shaylen to deliver a gorgeous and emotive future pop concoction named I’m OK. There’s no denying or resisting the smooth wavy, choppy glistening allure of this incandescent anthem, which arrives by way of a lyric video. I’m OK is out now on Big Beat White Label. Stream or download from major digital providers, here.

Some splendid remixes of Mr. Rogers’ infectious song, I’ll Take You, have been out and about delighting many an ear on Big Beat Records lately. I previously shared a smashing take by NYC’s Jenaux, but let’s now dive into Solidisco’s electro funk lavish and piano house bouncing edit. Its vibrant chords and rich pulsing set my feet afire, rocketing them up repeatedly off the ground to no end. Snag all the lite I’ll Take You remixes on iTunes.

So, this bomb dropped on my head earlier today, in a good way, and it had me all giddy and jittery with such mad excitement and joy. Some of you might have heard of a song this past month named Slowly, a mysterious viral jam from an anonymous act. The deep and luscious song has been making the electronic scene rounds, gaining support from a bevy of well loved acts, including Oliver Heldens, Pete Tong, and The Magician. In the meantime, people were wondering… who’s responsible for this anthemic dance pop meets booming house banger? Some even thought it might be a ZHU tune! Today, it was revealed that the magnificent act responsible for Slowly is none other than my dear Los Angeles based trio, DROPOUT

These guys are ninjas! I had no idea they were up to these delicious tricks. You might recall that IHM has been a devoted follower of Dropout’s music since their debut song late last year. I was wondering why I hadn’t heard from them in a long while. THIS IS WHY. They’ve been busy with this hypnotizing summer dance track! With the big reveal also comes a new visualizer to accompany the song. Slowly brings in a genre defying mesh of G-house, funk, future house, and deep house to pack a powerful, thrilling, and infectious punch. Welcome back, Dropout! Except not really, you were back, incognito. Slowly will be available on Big Beat Records come June 16th.

It’s been almost half a year since we last heard from Swedish duo Max Elto, who first lured me in with their infectious single Backyard Animals a year ago, but they’re back! New single Somebody Like You is a booming, triumphant, and grandiose synthpop jam with an uplifting aura bordering on progressive electronic levels. Its 80’s evoking melody and chorus are endlessly hooking and fabulously honeyed. Somebody Like You will be out exclusively on Spotify February 23rd and everywhere on March 2nd via Big Beat Records.

Swedish duo Galantis has been a topic of much praise on IHM over the course of this past year, having impressed me greatly when they came out of nowhere, forming from members of Miike Snow and Style of Eye. They gave us electronic dance tracks that carried some of that Miike Snow sound I love very dearly, but with much heavier bass and raised energy. Since then, they’ve gone on to have some of the most talked about sets at EDM fests and won over plenty of fans, easily. Their new single Runaway (U & I) is all you need to understand why. It’s a pumping, thrilling banger that also happens to be so sublimely melodic and enchanting, sure to instigate sing alongs and bouts of united bliss at every other set they come to play in the future. The single will be out officially on October 5, via Big Beat Records.
