There’s something other worldly, or perhaps, ever so earthly, about Bien’s music. The Nashville indie pop trio caught our attention earlier this month with Spinning On Blue, which the band wrote to encourage us to remember we all share this planet. Stars Across the Sky is their latest single, and though it’s an ethereal gliding, celestial sparkling electropop gem that lifts us towards the stars, it’s also a song that seems so grounded in the beauty of our surroundings. The airy mesmerizing, nimble skittering song is like a light and feathery version of Purity Ring’s much darker and heavier music, as if permeated with some Billie Eilish. A gently plinking float among the clouds greets us as we wade into Spinning On Blue, a dreamy new single from Nashville indie pop trio Bien. The song follows on the band’s self titled debut EP back in September of 2016, but it’s IHM’s first encounter with the three piece. We’ve been swiftly enchanted by their weightless hovering, svelte billowing song, which Bien wrote to encourage people to remember we’re all sharing this planet. They describe Spinning On Blue as their ‘seixe the day’ song that reminds them to take in the beauty and wonder of the world and people around us. Visit Bien’s previous songs on Soundcloud, here.
