NYC based Swedish producer Ben Phipps has enamored us with his house and pop hybrids many a time before, often linking up with fantastic vocalists like Ashe and Mike Ruby. On Mrs Mr, he delivers a synth chugging dance pop soundscape topped off with enrapturing vocals by Los Angeles singer songwriter Lizzy Land. Multi-layered, brisk enchanting Mrs Mr feels earnest yet playful, impassioned but mischievous. You can find the pair’s gorgeous collaboration via major outlets, here. Watch the official lyric video for Mrs Mr below.

I certainly don’t want to wake up from the dream that is Ben Phipps’ new single, Don’t Wake Me Up. The now NYC based Swedish musician and producer takes us on a breezy grooving, weightless skirring dance adventure that melds radiant indie pop with airy electronica. Don’t Wake Me Up, an ode to settling into the Big Apple, features Canadian singer songwriter Mike Ruby on smooth skimming vocals. Ben Phipps’ single leaves us tingling in a refreshing after glow. It’s near impossible not to dive back into its lithesome beats and snappy hooks straight away. You can find alternate streams and purchasing options for Don’t Wake Me Up, here.

I fly to the moon and back on the wings of this hovering electronic gem, I Don’t Think So, a beautiful tropics imbued house track from Sweden’s Ben Phipps. The song twinkles breezily, its beats percolating lightly in a bright sea lit ever more radiantly by the song’s honeyed soothing vocals. Though resplendently textured, I Don’t Think So is as gentle and tender a dance track as they come, an absolutely sublime listen that you can download for free, here.

We already know from past experience how divine it is when Swedish producer Ben Phipps links up with Nashville singer songwriter Ashe to deliver beautifully enchanting chill electronica. The two come together once again on crisply sumptuous new song, Alive. Ashe’s tender, delicate voice dances gracefully among Phipps’ luscious deep beats. The producer’s fine blend of chill deep house and electropop is some of the most rousing, emotive music I’ve heard this year, propelled by Ashe’s exceptionally expressive voice and cinematic, atmospheric strings. Alive is available now from iTunes.

Let’s continue to melt to chill, mellow house, this time via a sparkling gem named Don’t Look Back which comes from Swedish producer Ben Phipps. He links up with Californian singer songwriter Ashe on the song, who turns in some beautifully saccharine vocals. The gorgeous electronic ballad reminds me of some of Flight Facilities’ more laid back tracks, like Clair de Lune, minus the disco aspects. There’s a sadness hidden within Don’t Look Back’s euphoria, a precarious feeling that we’re standing on a precipice between bliss and anguish. Eventually, there’s no resisting “looking back” into our haunted pasts.
