House pop siren Becky Hill just released her new EP Eko, and she’s shared the final song off of it named Unpredictable. As we could have easily “predicted”, it’s quite the sultry soulful swooner. The London based 23 year old artist hits us hard with some deep thumping beats and her smoky, husky voice. Deep house meets gospel-tinged R&B on the smoldering banger, of which Becky states:

“I didn’t write Unpredictable for myself originally, but I fell in love with it and needed it as my own! I love this song because it was about keeping faith in a time when I was running low on hope. It’s also the most up tempo song I’ve released under my own name to date and definitely a song I’ve danced round my lounge to a couple times!” Her new Eko EP is a brilliant showcase of her myriad influences, from club music to pop to alternative R&B. It also includes prior singles like Warm produced by Shift K3Y, Back to My Love featuring Lil Simz and produced by Noah Breakfast, and Rude Love produced by MNEK and Dimitri Tikovoi. It’s obvious Becky Hill has just unleashed a massive EP into the wild. You can stream/purchase Eko, here.

Though this is labeled as a preview, it’s no 30 second clip that suddenly cuts out on us and leaves us hanging. Instead, we get a full 1 minute 26 seconds of deep summery house perfection from Dutch producer Steve Void as he takes tropical house prodigy Matoma’s Becky Hill featuring single False Alarm and gives it a melodic lustrous, vivacious springing metamorphosis. Of course, we’re left hungry for more by the luscious tease. This official remix whet’s our appetite for Matoma and Steve Void’s tour together this fall.

As someone who doesn’t watch The Voice, much less The Voice UK, I wasn’t aware of the fact that Becky Hill is an alum. Instead, she’s been on my radar for a couple years now due to her guest stints on songs by other amazing artists’ I love, having collaborated with the likes of Rudimental and Oliver Heldens. On new solo song Back To My Love, she enlists the rap vocals of electrifying British hip hop artist Little Simz. The two make a powerful pair, Becky’s powerful and robust voice and Little Simz’ riveting delivery leaving my blood boiling with sweltering R&B passion. Drum and bass rolls give the song an animated smoothness while gospel backing vocals add to Back To My Love’s grandeur. The single drops this Friday on Eko Records.

For uplifting, hooking good vibes, Los Angeles electronic duo Lost Kings have turned in this pumping remix of Nashville indie pop band Wild Cub’s Colour. It’s a blasting, get you moving, irresistible progressive and electro house take that also retains a lot of the original’s alternative and indie vibes. If you’re new to Lost Kings, they have some other must listen jams, including remixes of huge hits like Oliver Heldens’ Gecko (Overdrive), featuring Becky Hill, and Disclosure’s Sam Smith featuring Latch. Are you dancing with your hands up in the air, yet?

UK songstress Becky Hill made a huge solo splash with her single Losing (and first single Caution To The Wind), after having guested on big hits by Oliver Heldens and Rudimental over the past while. South London producer GRADES gives the soulful Losing a resplendent, jazzy remix, complete with hypnotic drum roll and deep garage beats. The sumptuous remix will be on the Losing EP, which also features remixes by Icarus, Joe Goddard, and Reso, out November 9!

Becky Hill, who guested on songs by Rudimental and Oliver Heldens in the past, launched her solo career recently, and one of her fantastic new solo tunes is Losing. She’s also released a video for the sultry soul and pop single this week. The video reminds me greatly of Beyonce’s video for XO, though in actuality, there have been plenty of music videos shot in carnivals and theme parks in the past. And I always dig them, there’s something about the colorful rides and all the lights that’s such eye candy. Losing is out on November 9.

Becky Hill has unleashed a new one off her forthcoming debut album to follow on the heels of debut single Caution To The Wind. The English singer songwriter surfaced on everyone’s radars when she was featured on many a great tune from other now very popular acts, like Rudimental and Oliver Heldens. Having focused on her solo career this year, she’s quickly proving her solo mettle. Losing, though not as infectious as Caution To The Wind, is a fast grower and an ace R&B and soul pop ballad. The grooving track is produced by none other than MNEK, who seems to be quite busy with the collaborations lately, having produced that incredible Karen Harding debut that I featured the other day. Revisit beautiful, crystalline Caution To The Wind below, which has, in the span of only 2 months, accrued nearly half a million streams on Soundcloud.
