Nottingham trio Kagoule obviously had something fanciful and whimsical in mind when they named their new single Bad Saliva. Having recently signed to Alcopop! Records, they deluge us with frisky slapping, angular jaunting strings on the feisty spirited tune. Commenting on the new track, the band says: “Bad Saliva is a track about turning off the path you find yourself on; the temptation to make a change and the anxieties of then making it.” It’s been a long couple of years since we last featured the band, just ahead of their debut album Urth dropped. We’re more than glad they’re back with new music, much less a post-punk inflected garage rock anthem like Bad Saliva! Kagoule will be releasing a new album named Strange Entertainment later this year.
